Annexing Puerto Rico might cause an economic disaster...or would it serve justice? A matter of perspective: many "US" companies are registered there for the tax benefits and lower environmental health standards. Are you suggesting we remove an important loophole from, say, the pharmaceutical companies' bag-o-tricks?

Besides, every few years we give Puerto Ricans an opportunity to join our union, and they always vote NO.
