help me please, new user

ok i wanted a better experience for MTW II so i decided to download the Stainless Steel mod.. once i installed both parts i got the 5.1 patch and also installed that. Now when i try to start the game (after choosing Stainless Steel from the autoplay) an error box comes up after the screen with the knight on it. This box is empty and has no desciption? Could someone please help me solve this problem? I have kingdoms installed and it was the gold edition if i remember right. Thanks in advance. Hope this is in the right place!

Well, If you installed both parts, then that should have been part 1 and 2 or 6.0 right? You should then install the 6.1 patch not the 5.1 patch. Make sure your using the Kingdoms disk when you use the Stainless Steel Shortcut.

Yes they were both 6.0 sorry about the typo it was a 6.1 patch.

Only the original MTW II cd will start it. When i use kingdoms disk it says insert original disk.

Sounds like you've changed the .exes round or something. I'd try re-downloading from this site and installing it again. If that doesn't work then I have no idea mate.
