Default cd key please help :(

i've installed many mods and it was getting confusing. even if i uninstall some of the mods, some components of them still were at work. so i decided to uninstall everything and do a fresh start in anticipation for SS6.2

    BIG MISTAKE

as soon as i go and try to install MTWII it asks for a cd key which it says is supposed to be located on the game manual.....it is not.

now i kinda remember that the game came with some card with the cd key on it when i first got this game months ago. i have the game box, i have the manual, but i cannot find this card with the cd key on it.

can anyone give me any advice on what to do??? i visited sega's site it is telling me to "submit a ticket and we'll advise you on what to do next". i have no idea what they mean by "ticket"...

please help. i do not want to have to buy another copy just for the cd key.... i need to have a legi copy to install the expansion dont i?

I don't believe this site condoles the assistance in hacking/cracking copies of the game. However I can assist you some.

I bought Medieval II Total War & Kingdoms in a box set together. Instead of posting the CD Keys on the Manuals for the game or the DVD Case, they put both of them on these white note card looking papers.

I, like you, was installing modifications and not reading about how to install them or paying attention if they were compatible with each other or not. I ended up screwing up my game to the point where an re-installation was needed, however I didn't have that note card.

I followed the steps on the support site (Sega.com or TotalWar.com) telling them that I lost my CD Key. They had me provide the *UPC* the back of my game's box. After I did that they were able to trace the UPC and give me my CD Key back.

I have lost five CD Keys in my life from multiple Game Publishers and it always come down to the UPC.

if you got the gold edition there is no cd key provided and you can enter what the hell you want.

Goto system restore and restore your system to an earlier date. A date when your game was still installed and not messed up. Then make a backup of it incase you mess up again.
