    Default Men Divided : Total War

    I was thinking about a mod that was a bit based on rpg's .. I thought about maybe dividing men into some category's such as Assassin's (with great assassin-agents , and units such as arcani , and like in M2TW the Hungarian assassin's , maybe some archer-units) ; Also simple melee men , who have great defence , mediocre attack and lots of normal , melee units (maybe shieldwall , phalanx would be overpowered :S) ; furthermore : archers (needless to say) with great archer units , and at last cavalry-men , with great cavalry and pretty bad infantry ..

    Now , these are only 4 factions , so maybe some other fantasy-factions (goblins , dwarves , devils , goblins , aliens , ...)

    REMEMBER : it's just a proposal so i didn't worked it out yet , if there are people willing to work , i'll work it out

    I could lead project , and maybe some mapping .. Once tried a 30 day-trial version , is already expired , so i'm now looking for a free program that's able to do mapping (no map.heigths , since u need 3dsmax/Gimp for that , right ?)

    EDIT : I can also do EDU .. As you see , pretty mucht the basic stuff , even though mapping isn't to easy

    Hmmm making on certain factions use only certain weapons... mad... mad like Jack [Jack Sparrow]... If I were you I would go with a more Tolkien feel as Humans using only some weaponry classes seem rather brutal for the RTW engine if you get my meaning lol.

    Ya as in the cavalry faction would dominate the archers and assasins, the archers would just pretty much get owned by everyone but assasins, and the melee would dominate cav, actually pretty much all.

    This can be solved by putting certain factions on an island . Also , there would be a crap-load of mercenaries avialable , so that even archer-men can own cavalry . Assassin's would have high charge bonus/defence skill , 2 hp and pretty fast for infantry .. They would also be good in hiding , but have low amount of units (for instance , 80 units per card , or even less) Melee units would have lots of units in 1 card , and a pack like hoplites/legionaires , but their stats would be medium .. And so on ...

    AI doesnt really move islands without a land bridge. I advise that you do not take this mod on as you obviouslly do not understand the game engine quite yet.
