See. That's why I think that we as humanity have pretty much no chance of figuring out what created the universe.
I have approximate answers and possible beliefs, and different degrees of certainty about different things, but I’m not absolutely sure of anything, and many things I don’t know anything about. But I don’t have to know an answer. I don’t feel frightened by not knowing.

Do you mean to suggest there is something bigger than the sun out there? Woopdidoo! I don't think even god-fanbois try to deny that. If anything this would simply prove the grandeur of God.
Of course God cares. In whatever grande scheme he/she/it has planned for us that is. If you want proof that God cares, look no further than various holy books. As should be common knowledge by now, we all know they are infallible.![]()

I am not what you would define as a "god-fanboy", but I would suppose the argument of said fanboys would be that of the grand size of the universe, an unimaginable size, the fact that we humans are the lucky minuscule (compared to the size of the universe) beings that were granted lives and the perfect home to accomodate us (as far as we humans know) is the reason He cares about us. Think about it, taking the perspective God does indeed exist, why would he choose only the planet Earth for his creations and not the whole gargantuan universe, or another little minuscule dot of the universe?

This is definitely the sort of thing that a theist might use to 'prove' god. It's usually something awe inspiring, like the size of the universe, sunsets, rainbows etc. I've heard "How can you look at this and not believe in god?" a couple times at said occasions.
If god does exist , and my definition omnipident , then he would care .

If there were a God, I think it very unlikely that he would have such an uneasy vanity as to be offended by those who doubt his existence. --Bertrand Russell
And the only heavenly bodies they discuss are planets and stars. If that person really wanted they could've had a ball with the Hubble Deep Field.
One thing is for certain: the more profoundly baffled you have been in your life, the more open your mind becomes to new ideas.

Let's think the unthinkable, let's do the undoable. Let us prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all.
i think it only makes a difference when we think of ‘chosen people’ and ‘son of god’ all being here on earth. apart from that, as it all started from a tiny singularity its size is purely perspective.

I love god and it is exactly the reason I believe in god, I of course believe in a alien and uncaring but very powerful zombie god; but anything that dwarfs our significance I think is a good thing.
can you imagine if we were the things truly responsible for this universe? what a bunch ofups!-- thank god for insignificance !

Do you have any reason or you just think "IT'S WRONG!" because you cannot think of anything else??
Where is his word?
Everything we know about god come from people who call themselves prophets (self-proclaimed prophets). They could just be a bunch of mentally-challenged persons or scums (yeah we got a lot of this type today!).
Besides, why wouldn't god rather care other more developed beings out there in the universe? Why us? Would he care if an ant or dinosaur doesn't believe in him? If not then why should he care humans at all?

You know, I like cats, and that is why I'm going to answer, although it should be blatantly obvious.
An omnipotent, omniscient Being is not restricted by "size" in the slightest. Are you perhaps one of those atheists whose motto is "I think, therefore I'm an atheist"? I'm just gathering data on those for my own amusement.
