Exceptional work guys,+rep ,I can't wait to do videos & historical battle maps using this great mod.
Greetings ! I'm new on forum as account altough i been watching many mods and played them, i could say i'm kinda obsessed .
This mod was recomended to me by Mr. Abdul Aziz wich is a good friend of mine and he knows how much i love the history of middle-east. So it`s a great mod, finally somebody is thinking at a mod recreating the lullaby of civilisations. I'm so excited!
I have an ideea for this mod. Adding the great scythian invasion from the 7th c. BC wich sacked the cities of middle-east, from Urartu to Palestine and finaly they're defeated by Egyptians would be something cool. This make the mod very dinamic and a bit hard to survive as civilisation !
And i end my first post on this forum with : "Ekal Ashurbanapla, shar kisshati, shar mat Ashur" wich means: "The pallace of Ashurbanipal, king of the universe, king of Assyria"

Actually, there were two great kingdoms in Africa in that time period. There was Egypt, and then there was Nubia. Nubia represented Sudan and parts of Ethiopia, where the Queen of Sheba was alleged to have come from, not Arabia.
The kingdom of Nubia was famed for its gold, which it had a lot of, and it was constantly at war with Egypt for thousands of years in the B.C. period. However, because Egypt had access to the Middle East as well as the Mediterranean, and the lush Nile Delta, it prospered beyond that of Nubia, and Nubia took a backseat role in Africa. However, Nubia was also unconquered for thousands of years, even by the Romans, because they were considered beyond the edge of the world, in the realm of the unknown. However, the Nubian kingdom possessed about the same amount of land that Egypt did, and had several city-states and flourishing trade along the Nile.
The Nubian kingdom was also almost completely African in skin color, and as such all blacks in that era were known as either Nubians or Ethiopians. The Nubian kingdom was also well known for its pyramids, though smaller than the Great Pyramids that Egypt constructed. They were similar to the Sumerian Empire, in that much of their buildings were constructed in a ziggurat style, similar to that of Egypt. Also, Nubia was famed for its archers, which were alleged to be better than that of Egypt's archers, and they also possessed decent spear men, some cavalry, and some chariots. Yet again, they were very similar to Egypt, but not quite as equal in the amount of things (i.e. not as many horses, not as many chariots, not as many ships, not as much agricultural prowess, etc.) When Egypt took lands that later became known as "Upper Egypt" which were lands far to the south, near the borders of the Nubian kingdom, Nubia was always skirmishing for control of "Upper Egypt".
Nubia was also fairly well-armored, and well-equipped, with bronze age weapons, powerful bows and bronze age armor.
Yet again, Nubia was never conquered by Egypt, in that Egypt was never truly powerful enough to cross into Sudan and the south of Sudan's borders to take the Nubian kingdom's cities. And vice-versa for Nubia. I believe they also believed in a pantheon of gods, though not the Egyptian gods, and could also have believed in ancestor worship. They buried their dead in tombs much like the Egyptians and stored treasures and wealth alongside the coffins.
Not enough is known about the Nubian kingdom, since it existed for thousands of years alongside the Egyptian kingdom. There still remains plenty of questions about it, its language and culture, and various beliefs and law codes. However, the Nubian Kingdom was not just a collection of tribes. This was a well-organized, centralized and powerful government of practically 100% black-skinned Africans. Wealthy, intelligent, not lacking too far behind in technology, with a powerful standing army.
As a world historian, and someone with an affinity for ancient cultures and languages, I would highly recommend you implement the Nubian faction into this mod.
I have a question what is time period of the mod???
