Changing campaign options

Hello dudes and dudettes. Suppose I'm late to the game but I've just started my first long grand campaign not too long ago. I'm now about half way through the game, and I'm getting quite good at crushing the AI. I started the game on medium difficulty, but now I'd like to change it to hard or very hard, just to spice things up a bit. How can I do that without restarting the campaign? And how can I change the other settings like battle time limit?

And on an unrelated note, is there a campaign save editor out there? Couldn't find one.

My Lord is pretty sure campaign difficultly can't be changed mid-game. Battle time limit can be turned on or off in the Grand Campaign menu, but you may be able to edit that in the game files as well.
