    Default just a few questions

    1. Is it possible to put strict limit to unit spam?
    - It seems highly unrealstic that the AI can mass produce full stacks all across the map and repetively send them against you, lose them all, and have no real represcussion for the loss of a full stack. Example: I (KoJ) was attacked by a full stack of Saracens. They are beaten easily when they assaulted Jerusalem, but in their same turn they sent another full stack. Next Saracen turn comes around i repel them and they send another full stack the very same turn. This contiues for 3 more turns until they eventually stopped. I think i can finally begin recruitments but then they send countless small stacks that siege my city and quickly run away snickering. This continued for a hour or so then the big stacks returned and Tripoli eventually fell to the waves since i cant really do much but cheat at that point but i feel like a cheap ass when i use cheats. This is really annoying because there doesnt seem to be any reprecussions to their wastefullness. In every attack they sent to Jerusalem i managed to kill their leader (including Saladin!) yet they kept coming. They should be suffering from massive shame at the loss of 5 leaders and Saladin and should be considering maybe a truce until their leadership builds back up. Now i know some factions should have a numerical advantage such as Novgorod and the Saracens but this seems far more unfair? in a way. Smaller nations stand no chance to the infinite wave of hell that descends upon the frail people turn after turn after turn. Also since autoresolves is so pro AI i never use it so these constant defenses take hours out of the day and take away from the fun for me since its ALWAYS the same and they all lose the SAME by my bottlenecking them as they throw their commander pathetically into my wall of spearmen. I there a way to limit their production to more reasonable and sensical levels or is there a way to punish them for being horribly wasteful with their command staff, faction leader, and the countless soldiers they lose. The only negative that seems to occur is they just lose men which are quickly replaced in 1 turn since their coffers fill with gold that they dont need to use to finance their once living army. The nation should feel humiliated for these loses not just as zealous and blindly throwing mass waves in suicides....
    (note i usually play as the Teutonic Order, KoJ, and HRE- HRE i never have these issues since the empire is big enough to contend with its very annoying neighbors, but small factions amongst the big honchos seem to suffer alot-)

    2. is it possible to shrink the map a bit?
    - maybe just nitpicking but i think its just a massive waste of space by having so much land in Africa. The cities are at the most northern point and the rest of the land is all monotonous desert that serves no point.

    3. is diplomacy still being worked on?
    - i still have situations when a faction asks for a alliance and attacks me the same turn.

    4. is there changes in the money script?
    - the AI seems to still be pumping out stacks when in the diplomats deal making screen it shows their economy as abysmal or bankrupt....

    5. Is it possible to make more reprecussions for attacking fellow catholic factions
    - the excommunication system seems to function more as a sissy slap on the wrist that the AI never really cares about and neither do i. If the system cannot be made better perhaps removal would be more acceptable since it doesnt seem to serve much of a purpose.

    1. You can remove the money script or tone it down but the AI out numbering human player is for balance. we are alot more skilled and take advantage of alot more than the AI so having equal numbers of forces kinda defeats the point of playing because theres no challenge.

    2. Doing so would mean removing regions in southern egypt further east (kwarz regions).The maximum number of regions are already met and theres not more room as to put there anywhere else if the map was shrunk. It would also weaken egypt and the kwarz

    3. Try lusted's CAI its one of if not the best CAI. Also getting attacked by allies can be caused by your reputation and relations with a faction. Ie alliance with a faction and just amiable relations with a bad reputation vs Outstanding relations and very trustworthy reputation your much more likely to be attacked by the ally with the former. Also traveling across there lands without military access can cause relations to worsen and result in attacks.

    4. AFAIK the money script is applied at the start of the turn and is then spent straight away automatically on buildings/troops so it always says there bankrupt.

    5. Well it creates unrest in your regions , makes you free target for anyone , gives poor relations with all catholics which decreases your chances of ceasefires , alliances and any other positive types of diplomacy. You cant crusade but get have crusades called against you. It seems fine to me im using Point blanks new rr/rc and playing HRE on vh/vh if excomunicated is almost impossible your attacked by several factions. And any faction that gets excomunicated seems to be in a very bad shape quite fast.

    Could you tell me all the mods/sub mods CAI , BAI and so on you are using

    by Point Blank....

    right now im just getting thrashed continously as the Teutons since everyone attacks me right when i get Vilnius...Novogord, Denmark, Kievan Rus, and Poland. I think its not SS's fault though since i never ran into this issue with the base SS 6 and SS 6.1 with RR and BYGIV added

    No it doesnt...i have more fun fighting opponents at even odds. i know it wont always be even but this obsessiveness seems too extreme. The jerusalem incident was the last straw since 3 full stacks seems tolerable since i use 3 full stacks as a expeditionary force when i invade but 7 coming over in a massive conga line seems way off.

    How so? I have never seen the Saracens at any difficult odds. Kwarz also usually gets massacred by the Mongols regardless of what they do.

    What?!? that doesnt really answer the question but add to my point that they shouldnt be able to produce when they spend all their money.

    I have not seen that happen. As england i was excommunicated and nothing really changed. I wiped the Scots and kissed ass for a long time and all was good. I barely had a issue. I see that with the AI as well as the HRE doesnt give much of a damn. Also i have seen factions get excommunicated because the Pope attacked them...it seems more like a papal abuse now lol

    In reference to points 1,3 and 4.

    Well the difference between your old install and your new one is basically the 6.2 patch ai and scripting. There are about 5 money scripts in it which would account for the extra stacks coming at you and many pre scripted armies (rather than ones the ai has to pay for). I understand Gracul intends on reducing the money scripts. Post in his thread as I am sure he would welcome the feedback. It is a beta after all. The compilation mod you have also contains an alternative ai to use, which would be the same as the one in your previous installation.

    I agree that factions on the isles dont receive much punishment from being excomunicated , AI never seem to attack british isles regardless of how hated any faction is excomed or not.

    Once you land in europe though your chances of getting attacked skyrocket. If i land in europe after wiping out the scots and still excommed theres always a 80% chance france will attack me or spain/aragorn depending where i land.

    TJ - what difficulty level are you playing?

    The latest 6.2 patch etc have significantly shifted the difficulty of campaigns so what was very hard is more medium now, so new very hard is indeed very hard.

    Yes there's still work to be done, it's difficult to please everyone, and the meaning of the difficulty may well be different for different players - some might expect more hostile AI factions, others an equitable diplomacy but enemies with lots of armies. Some might expect the AI to be more intelligent etc.

    Also you have chosen to install various options which are going to make your game even more difficult. You could try ss6.2 without RR/RC and / or BYG GR IV. It might be more to your taste.

    Making the AI more intelligent in handling its economy would be a boon to all modders, but nobody has completely cracked it yet. In the meantime if you want to face fewer AI armies, you might try modding the EDU and increasing the upkeep costs of units or amybe increasing the recruitment times, and/or modding the EDB to cut some of the trade bonuses the AI factions get from buildings. It's your game, so feel free to mod it to get it to play how you want.

    as novgorod i had perfect relations with the lithuanians (mainly the result of me coming to their defense and crippling the teutons). They soon later attacked Pskov for no reason whats so ever and i never had a established guard present because i had no reason to suspect that my most loyal ally would blindside me so bad. i immediately just stopped playing since the game become so annoying as i constantly was attacked for no reason (a army would wander for turns doin nothin and then attack a city of mine that would have their tiny besiegers massacred. afterwards they would never attack again and refuse ceasefires). Its frustrating since it seems diplomacy is entirely irrelevent since factions will attack unprovoked and uncaring that you saved their asses and boosted the relations to perfect. Now im attacked by Denmark, Norway, Golden Horde, Poland, and Lithuania (whom were my most trusted allies and my main shield from the polish.). My only answer now is reload my most earliest save, abandon my assault on the Teutonic Order and go after Lithuania since its pointless to help them since i now know they will me over.

    This is unfortunately the case with a lot of people. I only found well into the halfway mark of an excellent campaign that the difficulty levels have been tweaked, and the diplomacy AI is accordingly modified. I understand how it can be frustratingly annoying having the world gang up on you; try playing on medium, which is about equivalent to 6.1 hard/v.hard.

    Regarding AI spam armies, others have already pointed out excellent ways of nerfing them; I'd love to play with BGR, but the AI not having the same restrictions as the player kind of knocks the wind out of those sails for me.

    Regarding point 2, I'm assuming you're talking about cropping the desert areas, as opposed to removing provinces, yes?

    same here. i have dream that one day a AI script will be made that will have no AI perks. i have dream that one day the AI will be able to outsmart human players and launch crafty attacks and lead their soldiers to glory in the battle map. i have a....oh forget it you get the point
