    Default V1-V3 Best unit in mod?

    Who is the baddest boldest and the all around best of the best. The templar veterans from the pale knights are looking pretty tough.

    What about those Uruk hai? with 2HP, 16ATK and 18DEF they are monsters, cutting down all there is, (I used them against a generals bodyguard, with devastating effect)

    The one mayor downfall about the Uruk's is the shield they are carrying. It's somehow in a strange angle, and perhaps some of you remember the Byzantine heavy spearmen/pikemen from some M2TW Kingdoms mods? they had a 2-handed weapon, and a shield on their back, looked really nice

    Im trying them with different animations at the moment to see how they perform
    Edit::::::, After reading your post I have changed them to the fuedal knight(dismounted ) animation and it does look much nicer, except they dont spin the enemy in the air any more

    They indeed look much better with the DFK animation, good job on that one, and thanks for making my already-favorite-unit look even better smacking the enemies of the Romuli Empire. +rep for all your work, great job on the mod

    No problem friend, if anyone has ideas and I agree that they improve the mod , I will implement them, the aim here is create the best gaming experience possible, and Im sure people have many ideas I could never come up with.

    The Uruk Hai are awesome, a full stack of them taking down the vatican state is what im aiming for.

    I like the way a little bit of back story is added to them so they fit in the world, same with the other more fictional units.

    in the unit description, yes thanks, I think it is important to give them some sort of grounding to make them believeable

    I have made their availabilty pretty limited, in a future release I may have a completly mythical faction, they will be added to that, and maybe removed from the Romuli,

    I am also play testing a mounted version VERY SCARY !!!!!!!!!!

    ::Edit :: patch now released reassigns them with Dismounted Feudal Knight animation

    Best unit in the mod? Uruk hai , but I would have done the spartan hoplites more powerfull, for example 2 hp too. because the spartan hoplites was legendary fighters

    I know what you mean, but I think they do a fine job with just 1Hp, and I didnt want to start unblancing them compared to other units, they do have very good morale, so they will pretty much stand til the last man, I may add morale_lock to them , so they never rout :hmmm:

    Thanks, the positive feedback the mod has recieved so far has made all the effort spent on the mod seem very worthwhile

    you can but you probably dont need to, i also have ss installed and havent had any problems with them interfering with one another unless its a space on your computer issue.

    I have been reading the Forum and downloading now. I have to say from everything which has been written this MOD seems pretty cool. Love the sceenie of those legionares....wow! Thanks for the hard work on this MOD and thank you for sharing it with the community.

    completely unrelated but im going to state how i got screwed haha. As the faustian reich (sp?)
    I completed there campaign and continued playing but for some reason i never had any new family members and so about 30 turns after beating the game im on a freaking crusade and my army is attacking the city and my leader dies and it says i have been defeated lol WTF X.X

    Well if your royal family dies out that will happen, just sounds like of them unlucky ones, where circumstances do you in. Where you gettign adoption offers?

    After a time playnig with Avalon I have found the magic of what is known as the Avalon foot Guard, damn those guys kick arse!

    PS - even more gratz for creating this unit, just love them (if you hadn't of guessed already)!

    They are the creation of Lord_Calidor and his Templar Knights mod, there is also a mounted version. His work is beautiful, he also made the hospitaller and templar units within the mod. He is a great modder, and kindly allowed his work to be included. For this mod they are renamed and placed as the guard units for the Kingdom of Avalon, I think they fit nicely within that faction,

    Good to see you are enjoying the mod. Im currently playing as the Gaelics and have had a continous war against Avalon for about the last 50 turns, but they have just accepted vasselage under the Teutons, so I think they are finally broken.

    yes his work is brilliant, as I said before, Im playing as Avalon and am currently at war with the Gaelics. Ive found it very interesting that the lands I conquer at the begining arnt already Christian so Im in a constant battle between troops to guard the cities or to bring them with the army to continue the attack.
    I must also compliment you on the rebels, I have already had three besieges the rebels have impossed on my cities - in like 20-30 turns which is more than I have ever seen in all of my campaigns in any mod before I played this.

    cheers mate, I wanted rebels of quality, so all rebel armies (both spawned and sexisting at the start of the game) should be moade of quality troops, no more rebel armies comprising of peasants and levy spearmen.

    In the next major update, more religions will be added, so there are less generic 'pagan' factions, this will mean regions have even lower starting numbers of each religon. I like the feature, as you really have to work and manage the region to make it truly your own.
