Ok so I am playing as the Greek Cities and defending Heracleia from stack after stack of Galatians (might fun I must say) and they are completely isolated. So I was defending one time when the Galatians had I believe 5 rams. So obviously, 4 of their rams go for the walls themselves. Now, right now Heracleia still has a wooden wall, and when the ram knocked the wall down I had troops stationed right behind the wall where the wood fell. Well I never really noticed anything unusual, but I had a general protecting one wall (since Greek generals are infantry) and when the wood fell, it killed my general!!! I also noticed that for the troops standing near walls that were knocked down their numbers seemed to decrease.
My question is, does falling timber from the walls actually kill troops behind it or was it possibly something else that I wasn't paying attention to?
