The enemies are just rebels so I did not bring my elite troops and used cheap militia instead.
But fire-throwers are real killing machines, especially when I added stakes for them.

Once one and half stack of Sicily troops sieged Rugusa while I only had a couple of fire-throwers and archers as my defense forces. I put the stakes at the gate and have fire-throwers stand behind at each side with fire at will. What happened next can not be called as "war". It was a massacre, which also thanks to the boiling oil defense. In just ten minutes Sicilians lost all 2,000 men including generals,knights, armored spearmen and sergeants. Only few prisoners were taken. The others had become carbon forever....

Douse them in flames! It's because of things like this that my mangonels get their gold chevrons way before anyone else in the army. Any idea of the actual kill count of that shot?

The magonel team also made one hit before that shot.
And the final battle result was 170 men killed by the magonel so I guess that shot took the whole 150 rebel spearmen team to heaven....
