the barbarian factions and parthia....
really noobish this but other than gaul who are the barbarian factions
thanks man
Scythia and Parthia also.
oh yeah, Iberia can't horde, i forgot. And though it may seem weird, Parthia is the best faction to horde because you will suddenly have an army of horse archers, which are really effective in the war against TSE
the parthian horde is on of the most threatening beast ive ever piloted. cataphracts and horsearchers galore in enourmous numbers.
Hordes aren't that dangerous. Find a choking point (bridge, pass) and station an advanced, well equiped army at that point. If all goes well then the enemy will try in vain to get past that point and you can easily destroy them.
That was at least the case in BI, where I destroyed 4 slavic stacks in one turn.

Doesn't swimming only come into play with the Alexander EXE?
Actually IIRC Alex.exe doesn't have swimming. And that is a good good thing because swimming makes bridge battles way too easy. Who honestly thinks swimming horse archers are a danger? They'll exhaust themselves swimming across (if you use fatigue) and even if you don't some militia spearmen waiting on the other side will kill them all as they leave the river. Then they route back into the river and die trying to swim back. AI does better in bridge battles without swimming. BI has some good features but swimming isn't one of them.

As I've said previous should be called drowning not swimming.
Fix the problem, not the blame!

If you have problems fighting swimming HA in bridge battles I suggest elephants. They can swim ( I know, it's crazy), they are impossible to kill in the water and they will destroy everthing in their path.
