Thanks, it's nice to have everything in one place.

The title of this thread reminds me of one of my favorite podcasts (also called The History of Rome).

This will be fun to read later on. Though how far are we going, guys? Until we conquer all the known world or just a more simple objective? Both would be fun.

    Was that pointed at me?

Hehe, no, just the situation in general at the time.

Hey Jack, would you like me to remove "updates" to your history once they have been added? Like Sir James' addition, now that you've added it to the OP, should I remove it, and all others like it in the future? I think that'll prevent this thread from getting too cluttured.

*whispering* To tell the truth, I was planning, that after Celsus slowly but honourably climbs up the Cursus Honorum, he would die somehow. Then - when we'll all be more veterans in YATS - I would start the full opposite of my current character. Some power hungry Senator, who through RP starts a civil war. I don't wish to become Emperor however. I want to have the Senate sweating, but I also want you to defeat that evil maniac.
Anyway, it was just a thought, though I think it would be fun. Lot's of role-playing.

Don't forget my various little military victories in Lilibeo and the north and such, that will play a role in chronicling the death of Falco as well.

    good initiative on this one.

I've added spoiler tags to reduce clutter.

I'm glad you've included the bit about the wine and the prostitutes. Very important historical event that.

you shoud arrange the consulates from top to bottom, consulate 1 on the bottom, then go up

    would be easier
People will believe a lie because they want it to be true; or they're afraid it's true.
Given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe its true, or because they're afraid it might be true. Peoples' heads are full of knowledge, facts and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool.
