there is no submod able to play the senate, however there was a way to add the senat in version 6.4

now i don' t know if this will work but you can try to add the senate the same way as in 6.4 you will finde an explanation on how to do it in this thread :

well i tried to play as the senate today(with altering the files like the thread said) and i can proudly say that it works(well atleast the first 5-7 or so turns)

yeah the game could CTD becous it is not made to play as the senate.

but the game itself as the senate will be completely unbalanced, cause it's not made for them
if you want a balanced and challenging campaign, you'll have to edit files

yups senate gets a lot of money every turn and i think you will lose a lot of the new futures.

yes you do loose a lot of features(like loyalty). and you dont get the weak cav the romans had (all your generals cav even has 160 men) but if you just dont use all those advantages its very cool although its not possible to not use the advantage of no loyalty(i love the look of the senates pre-marian units)

The thing is you get Praetorians when you take ROMA as the Romans there IS NO NEED to play the senate they are MEANT to be destroyed. You will most likely have alot of problems or CTDs later in the game. CA never made the senate to be played so mods are even more so.

I guess you just couldnt handle playing SPQR the way it is meant to be played otherwise you wouldnt be playing the senate THIS SOON. I wish you would play the game you want and leave us alone to play the way the mod should be played, I noticed since release alot of new people that really seem like kids that just want to play the mod like some Command and Conquer and dont even really want to TRY to play a real campaign. I'm sorry but this is just wasting all of our time. Whats the point of giving advice if you just want to play this mod like a console game? there is none.

I for one will not be replying to anymore stupid questions about the game which has nothing to do with the Mod or how it should be played. This forum is for SPQR mod the way it was MADE, not lets play the senate, lets alter the files and remove most of the mods features. sheesh!
