question about chat

This may seem like a stupid question but how do u chat to the other players during the battle. I feel really stupid when they start talking to me and i cant respond. Thanx in advance.

The hotkey is "T". It brings up a numbered menu of whom you want to address your statement to, i.e. a specific player, or All Allies, or All Players, etc., and then gives a series of options of pre-set statements (which I've never seen anyone use), or to make a Custom text, whereupon you type what you want to say. You can also create arrows on the map to indicate things to allies by selecting the option Advance to the Point Shown and then right-clicking on the screen - they will see a large red arrow pointing there.

Also, if you want to view all the discussion and chat that has happened during the battle, press you tilde key, the one you usually use to bring up the cheat box in the campaign map.

ok thanks. I was tring to press all of the F1-F12 keys and tried ctrl shift and i couldnt get anything to work. Ok now my teamates wont get mad at me for not talking to them
