Yes that's right Global domination in 21 turns. IMO he tries to make out that there are no cheats used to achieve this. I read the thread and honestly don't know. If he did use them he sure did a good job of hiding it.

What's your take?

No cheats -- simply an excellant example of breaking a game by doing tasks that bypass the intent of the designers. Not my style, but I can certainly appreciate the motivation to understand the game mechanics and max out turning the world to a cinder. I hope you all realize this is one of the results of simulations -- bypassing assumptions gives unreasonable results.

he even explained what he did...

muslim faction, join jihad, leave jihad join jihad leave jihad for 10 turns to get the movement bonus and mercs but no desertions. that way he covered half the map in 12 turns.

of course he knows what he does on the battlefield too, otherwise he would have taken too many casualties which you cannot recover in these 21 turns.

its just possible with a muslim faction and by using this "exploit". still a masterpiece.

Definitely no cheats. As Samir said, he just exploited the Jihad system. Certainly an amazing bit of work though.

It's possible I guess although you have to expand in 3 directions (N-S-W) and going from east to west already takes at least 10 turns... Well with Jihads everything changes of course

With cheats it is possible to win the game on turn one. In fact someone at the Org did that to prove that it is possible. It took him four hours to complete the task. Ah well I hope he enjoyed it.

I am sorry 4 hours? was he stoned? or did he go for christmas shopping in between?

you create one super army which has one Trebuchet Unit in it. that way you can attack in the same round.
then you use the character_reset cheat to get to the towns
then you use the auto_win or if you create one super army of elite late game units you just autoresolve and exterminate (that way you dont even have to leave a single unit behind)
and you do this with all provinces.

takes about 25 minutes, if it takes longer you either try it with your nose or feet instead of using your hand. the most "difficult" part is to type character_reset before you attack the city, because otherwise you cannot move out of the city any more after you take it...

@Furion -- why do you think you would do so well against the person who out blitzed the ATPG? Keep in mind his style of play against human opponants is not known to you.
