CTD on Epiros' turn.

Hello all, I have a CTD when the turn goes to Epiros. I have replayed the turn and always have the same result, except the first time. The first time the game just crashed all together after the Epirots attacked a brided general (he was of Epirot origin), I auto resolved, won the victory, and afterwards its CTDS.

The rest of the tries ended with this: The half stack beseging Capua is the bribed general, I had no problems untill I bribed him. This also may be significant: I bribed the general IN Roma, Epiros controlled Roma, I did not destroy and government buildings and gifted Rome back to the Romani, Maybe this is the cause of my CTD?




I am running version 1.2, not additional modifications. I have activated the script EVERY time I load the game and believe there was 1 or two CTDS that went away after I resarted the game.

PS: I added the savegame because I just tried it and this time it Crashed on Lustonian... right before Epiros, so its still probably Epiros- but just leaving all possibilities open.

I recall hearing about this in the past. I did a quick search but couldn't find anything. You could try doing a search yourself, especially over at the .org forums. :hmmm:

I've done this already, will do again just to be sure.


I'm fairly certain from what I did get out of it is that its corruption,I'm just wondering it its of my GAME, or of just this save, I don't want to start another campaign just to have it fail at this date aswell.

*sigh* They call for switching the save to the BI folder, I am not very good with this business. They say that it is vanilla RTW and cannot be modified except from CA... so unless I take ridiculous steps to try and amend this save, I'm royally screwed. I'm really reluctant to abandon my Makedonian campaign.. so much fun. I'm afraid im left without an alternative.

PS: I DID try re-doing the save at later points, and it still led to this error... should I be worried about my other .savs?

Hey Mikil!

I loaded it up, and it didn't crash, maybe it has something to do with the Show_Map, I passed two turns and it looked fine.

EDIT: You don't have RS & EB in the same R:TW install do you? I'm not sure if RS installs using a mod switch, I think it may change core files.
