english campaign/ campaigns in general

hello good people of medieval total war...... this game just rocks dont ya think?

anyways...... just wonderin if anyone can offer me a better campaign strat than this...... i havent fully completed the game yet seeing as i dont hav much time to play it anymore

so anyways.... we all know about the bits u do first with england which i sadly nearly always play as lol ... i take rest of UK whilst takin the rebels in north west france.... after that i then take the 2 other cities below me and begin preparin armies... i do it like this..... i hav my settlements as they are with scotland and dublin on auto build and sending troupes to the front when possible...... ive had diplomats starting around europe setting trade routes and trading map info to get somewhat formal grounds with the other contries.... and i dot several camps around my border where i begin buiding my armies.... when im ready ive generaly got about 10 stacks of armies ready to invade the rest of france and then ............. france is INIALATED

i then follow the same routine but for denmark milan and spain at the same time.... if i remember correctly it gets me to about turn 40-50 when i invade all milan denmark and spain.... this then means i have the following....
england
scotland
dublin
france
denmark
milan
spain
argentina
and also building armies for rome, moors, poland

.... i say if i remember correctly because sadly i hav not had the time to go on tw 2 for quite a while but with crimbo hols comin up i look to start the campaign and beat europe so bad it will be crying... oh and ofcoarse the rest of those crazy countries lol

oh and yes i do only play medium... maybe i should play v hard?

throw some stuff at me people i need some ideas for this game XD

and preferably good idea and not dung... pls lets remember we are responsible human beings not prime apes

First -- welcome to the forum.

I do really like the English -- I think it is the longbow stakes thing.

I would certainly suggest vh/vh. I have never really played on other settings, so I cannot tell you how the game will play differantly. I also use the Retrofit Mod which uses the Kingdoms exec code and rebalances the units. If you are wanting to continue with England and want differant scenarios to play -- try Britannia in Kingdoms. Also the map and factions will be differant in say Stainless Steel 6.1 -- I am still trying to get the feel of the mod, but I like the reskinned units and dealing with the Irish as well as the Scots.

If you do not have Kingdoms and the price is not an issue -- buy this before modding. Good stuff!

well if u have such huge armies why not going to the holy lands? expand there? well u also take Spain /Milan and Italy

well the settings wernt vh/vh so it wasnt that hard to be honest... i just built up armies below the mountains between spain and france and then walked in there and practicaly slapped them lol

Are you sure Argentina is between Spain and France? I thought it was at the southmost point of South America. You know, the capitol is Bueno Ares? Do you mean Aragon?

no i mean i build up my armies and then send them down into what is spain and then argentina to the west and moors to the south

Argentina is in South America. Portugal is in Western Iberia. The Moors are in Southern Iberia and North West Africa.

Yeah I'm not much on foreign geograpy either...

But on my English campaigns I usually sell Caen to the French for a hefty tribute and send every unit besides free upkeep in London and a group of peasant archers in Nottingham to blitz Edinburgh, so I can take England at my own pace.

After this I usually buy Caen off the French and every one of their other territories besides the one on the sea-sorry forgot the name, maybe Marseaille or somethin-and of course this takes a little bit of time and money, but after I do that I can take Paris and the other settlement and the French are gone.

If I don't want to wait for cash to buy the French off, I send an invasion force into the Iberian, and take it, not touching mainland Europe(besides Iberia) so I won't make new enemies.
