    Default What's your favorite army in ss6.1? Share your army compositions in Royal Military Academy.

    Hi all
    This time, Royal Military Academy brought you an interesting and useful tool.

    Now you can form your army in our Army Simulator, try variable units compositions, calculate the army cost and fighting ability, save it to share your favorite army, and discuss your tactics with each other.

    I can't do the army thing at work, but my favourite composition goes something like this:

    1 General
    5 Heavy Cavalry (feudal knights/English knights)
    6 Dismounted English Knights
    8 Retinue Longbowmen

    Urgh...depends on what faction I'm playing and what era

    Now I'm playing as the Turks and am spanking the Fatimids with

    1 General, Mustafa the Desert Wind, scourge of the Fatamids
    12 Turkomans

    I often fight 2 full stacks each turn, preferably not at the same time though cause I'd run out of arrows. Now the Infidels have called a crusade upon Antioch and I'm doubtful that my alliance with the Templars will hold. When the crusading armies arrive I'll use my HA army to kill enemy generals and retreat....that rids me of those pesky crusaders and I'll leave the rest of their wayward armies to the desert sands

    How come no one has artillery in their army like I do?
    Having a siege weapon forces the other side to attack you if they don't have one as well.

    I never thought about siege equipment, that will surely stop the AI from hiding on top of a mountain or hill.

    Currently playing as France. Started in early era and I'm now in 1245. I successfully conquered Britain with 2 full stacks but I had some problems with the Scots (first time I got ambushed and totally owned). The 2 full stacks were the same size, same units... One of the full stacks:
    1 general
    4 knights hospitaller
    3 armoured sergeants
    3 dismounted knights hospitaller
    4 peasant crossbowmen
    2 trebuchets
    2 mangonels
    Tactics:
    1st line - armoured sergeants, 2nd line - dkh, 3rd line - crossbows, behind them siege equipment.

    Start using mangonels and trebuchets. In every battle against more than 1100 enemy soldiers, every siege weapon had about 140 casaulties inflicted. They are even better when you are defending the city:

    How do you defend against a crusade/jihad? This is my tactic:
    At least 8 units of spear militias, at least 4 units of archers, 2 unit of light cavalry (for routing), 2 balistas/canons, mangonels and trebuchets if you have them:

    i dont know what mod deleted my previous post but heres proof his website has a link to what is a virus avast has detected, if you click on his blog link it brings up his blog with this virus(shown before). just so you guys know. but other than that. its a great website and i posted a venetian army template on there for deus lo vult , check it out :-)

    Once my bizantine campaighn got going i 2 styles of legions that i recruited.

    Field legion
    1 General
    5 Byzantine heavy cavalry (don't remember what there called)
    5 Byzantine cavalry (horse archers)
    3 Byzantine infantry
    3 Varangian Guards
    3 Byzantine guard archers

    Siege legion
    1 General
    8 heavy cavalry
    9 Heavy infantry (any)
    2 bombard
