    Default under fire animation

Somehow, by dealing with animations, can we make the units hold their shields up when they are under fire. The units hold their shields forward when ennemi units are close, that animation is called 'ready' in the animation file, and they also hold their shield forward in the same way when they are under attack, by missil troops, what is the name of this animation, I can't find it ? Perhaps create one for this trigger if possible ? To that one, I would simply add the 'defend hi stab' animation in stead of the 'ready' and so the units would hold their shields up when under fire.

The result would look like this, or better if you help me :

This is nice. It isn't part of the animation system but instead is a hardcoded skeleton behavior.

To understand this, look carefully at the archers: they stand straight, hold the bowstring, pull, and fire. But what happens in the game? After they pull, the game makes them aim up (completely absent from the animation), and then fire. So if you wanted to change this "aim up" action, or remove it, you simply couldn't. It isn't in the original "pull-release" in the first place.

Something similar must be going on with the shield-up activity. We need to find under what conditions the unit is triggered to perform it. Filip?

"If ye love wealth greater than liberty,
the tranquility of servitude greater than
the animating contest for freedom, go
home from us in peace. We seek not
your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch
down and lick the hand that feeds you,
and may posterity forget that ye were
    our countrymen."
