Default Performance tweaks and blood mod

    1st)
I LOVE your mod. It is exactly what I looked for (I missed that "conquer the world and build a really huge empire -feeling in the Kingdoms expansion so badly- thank you so much for this mod!)

    2nd) Performance questions:
I got the feeling, the modification is a little more demanding to my system than the vanilla games are. What kind of included sub mods could be responsible for my felt performance loss. In particular I recognized the dust clouds from marching troops, which Id like to turn off. Would someone tell me how this can be done? If at all lol (I hope for simply deleting some "particle.txt" file or something...

Is the AI more demanding system-ressourcewise?

3rd) Blood. I installed the crimson tide mods, but they are too much carnage for my taste. However I had broken crescent running for 1 day, but the setting of this for sure great mod was not my taste... But what I really wanted to see in this mod is the blood textures from broken crescent (blood splatters on the shields ...). I heard that "Blood, Broads, & Bastards" included them, but I am not too sure if I want the other stuff included in that mod...

    4) Are there any submods you would recommend for this mod (no performance killers pls ^^)

Finally thank you so much Dave, for the best mod around. You created what Kingdom hould have been like...

    Goji

P.S.: A little problem: I installed the final version of the mod, but somehow my generals do not hold their little speech before tha battle (no sound)... I think the FInal patch fixes this, but I cannot find a download source for it =(
I run the german version of Medieval...

Well this mod uses bigmap, which is the max size map possible. So there is going to be a difference in performance compared to the original map. Also with there being a lot more factions and settlements the AI will take longer to work out its moves each turn. The mod also uses a garrison script which slows turns down considerably. But you can play KGCM without this script if you prefer. See the 3.7 download thread LINK and use the no garrison script provided.

No, the CAI has no effect on performance. Like I said earlier there are more AI controlled factions though.

I have never tried the crimson tide mod, and I also have no interest in adding anything from other mods to KGCM.

Currently there have been no submods made for KGCM. But I know there is at least one being developed for it atm. And there will also be a version of XAI released for KGCM as well.

Finally thank you so much Dave, for the best mod around. You created what Kingdom hould have been like...
I know my mod isn't the best but its a good mod at least

KGCM final has now been removed from filefront at my request. The only downloads you need are 3.0 and 3.7.

    thanks,
    Dave

    Thanks foryour fast reply!

What I meant with performance was, if there were implementations to the actual battles... (I never recognized the dust clouds of marching troops on dusty terrain in vanilla...so I thought it might be an addition of your mod...)

I am gonna download 3.0 and 3.7 right now (*addicted to your mod*). =)

(I had england except Ireland and 80% of france in my actual campaign lol, will reconquer it again

    cheers,
    Goji
