    All units have unique normalmap files for bloom effects...

    this is for BC kingdoms ... beware of BC original...

    How To Install Broken Crescent Kingdoms

    This is a manual installation on Broken Crescent Kingdoms, so please read carefully before installing. Please skip the steps if you already have these installed.


    Installing Core Game:

    1. Install Medieval! 2 Total War

    2. Install Medieval! 2 Total War: Kingdoms Expansion (minimum 1 campaign should be enough).

    3. Install Medieval! 2 Total War: Kingdoms Expansion patch v1.5
    * Choose the patch according to your M2TW/Kingdoms version.

    Make sure the game/patch is working before proceeding.

    Installing the Mod.

    Before installing the mod you must make sure that you have no other mod installed that changes any of the vanilla game files or it may not work as intended. Other mods that are installed in their own mod-folder shouldn't cause any problems though.


    2. Install Broken Crescent patch v1.05
    * The post 1.05 fix is not needed as I have included them in the Broken Crescent Kingdoms mod.

    3. Open you Medieval! II Total War folder where you have install Broken Crescent, for example (mine) is at D:\Program Files\GAMES\SEGA\Medieval! II Total War


    4. Copy your broken_crescent folder and paste it in the mods folder


    5. Unpack the Broken Crescent Kingdoms (to desktop) and/or directly overwrite the old files with news ones to Medieval! II Total War/mods/broken_crescent
    * Use winrar which can be download (free) here: http://www.rarlab.com/

    6. Open you broken_crescent folder (inside the mod folder) , use medievalŌ_broken_crescent.bat file to run the mod
    * Alternatively you can create short-cut to desktop for easier access.


    7. Enjoy the mod.

    Disclaimer:

    Released with consent of Miraj and the BC team. There are no changes (AFAIK) to the core BC mod. The changes are those related to make BC 1.05 playable with the latest (and final) kingdoms patch. It is not tested with unpatched Kingdoms (v1.4) so I cannot guarantee that it'll work as intended. I have use the European version (not the Gold version) of M2TW/Kingdoms and have not tested on other version. It may (with tweaks) or may not work with Steam or other downloadable version.

    Besides the BC mod itself, I have use other works in this compilation (to speed things up rather than manually creating/modding) either in parts or in whole by myself.

    For any bugs encountered, please check with reported bugs here in case it's already reported. I have not extensively play/tested this conversion yet so there might be new bugs introduce unintentionally. Please post bugs here instead of in the official BC bugs report.

    Can you tell us how you did it? Does Kingdoms just offer better graphic quality?

    No pirate .... i make this with Nvidia plug-in for normalmap of adobe PS(R).

    It not easy work but hard work needed many hours..

    Install : as below folder tree....

    => Drive C or D:\Program Files ....\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\broken_crescent\data\unit_models\_units

    See the zipped file and compare the folder tree..

    Be care this is not for BC original 1.xx but for BC kingdoms .

    that's great. here's a shot of a normal map i did using crazybump. you should post up a shot of this unit to see how they compare. i believe it's the spearmen sergeants

    Here is comparison 1680 x 1050 pics with yours ....










    It 's not clear as your pic... because dirt and sand override effects ... but you will figure out ~.

    blood sucks, its not worth the lag it causes even on high enders in big battles.

    I'd like to try BC Kingoms but I see my version of Kingdoms is 1.4. I've tried to find patch 1.5 non gold uk version but I only see the gold version wherever I search. Anyone got a link to this patch please?

    You have to install 'european version', it's replacement for previous non-gold versions (with exception of polish, czech ones for instance). Go to totalwar.com, then support, medieval 2 : kingdoms and choose the company that brought you retail box. For steam versions updates are different.

    Awesome!!!

    But, i got some problem here... There is no unit card displayed at the custom battle... So i cant even add unit to do the custom battle...

    I got no problem though at the campaign...
