Icon10 Question of the banner of Byzantines

    Hello everyone...
I love my history, especially my medieval time history. I read a lot of books, mostly primal sources, written by byzantines historians of the time. I have to say that, I don't know for other factions but you made Basileion ton Romaion very historical accurate.
But I have to make some notes...
One of the byzantine banners you used was this

But this was used only by Palaiologian dynasty 1259-1453 and it was only a flag...

    The previously one was this

on different colors from era to era used from 395 to 1204

BUT always from 12 October 312 to 1453 (some using it until nowadays) we had this as a BANNER

A brief history about this... from emperor Constantine I the Great and the battle of the Milvian Bridge 28 October 312 ... He saw a vision in his dream with this symbol. An angel told him «Εν τούτω νίκα» in Greeks hoc signo victor eris Latin MEANING by this sign thou shalt win... Everyone believed him... they used it as their banner and they won. After that we used it as a banner, in our churches, in our homes and jewelry. The meaning western historical says that it is from Greek letters XR Xristos meaning Christ the Alpha and Omega the first and the end of this world meaning that Christ is everything.
But Historians of the time says that the meaning is Romioi Xristianoi to Alpha kai to Omega to Kosmou toutou Meaning Greeks Christian is the first and the end of this world. We are the best or something like this... This is why R is Capital and much bigger than X.... Catholics used it too as a religious symbol...

    We also used this

    which means Jesus Christ wins

I really like history and I loved this mod for this exactly reason... You guys done an outstanding job...

Thanks, that is the aim of the mod. Now that I am able to use different CoA's and banners per era, I should be able to do something in this area.
