These are the free barbarian mini factions. Like with the free Greeks, a lot of these won't be visible in custom battles. Part of your job is to see what's recruitable where, and whether it all fits with this scheme. It should do as DVK has spent a lot of time working on the AOR. Each region on the map has a specific code assigned to it to allow region by region placement of AOR units.
Definitely shouldn't be like that. I'll check in the EDU to see how to fix that.
Hmmmm.....It's looking likely that this was something I overlooked in the calculations about what horse skins and models were needed....eeek. I'll have to figure a workaround.

They don't seem to have any recruiting possibilities, except their starting regions.
I've conquered some new regions and didn't find any units.
And there appear ports in the building tree of a city with no access to water.

Others should learn from you my friend. This is the best and most detailed report I have seen.
I have a 'suspicion' as to what may be causing this.....it will take me a while to fix it as it involves every 'merc' unit in the game. It's how, and\or IF the game can find the 'merc' sprite properly. I suspect that it is NOT always finding it properly. This would account for CTD's with an error.

The majority of ctds I had in most of the battles in Gaul (and with the Helvetians), Cisalpine Gaul, Noricum and Taurike (Bosphorus).
In Asia Minor with the Galatian I had no ctds yet, and also with the Caledonians in Britannia.
The units listed above may show the area. I cannot really differ from regular and merc units yet.
Caledonians have javs and swords
Yeah, the light cav seem rather many! DVK?
The Thraikans have a few more skins coming so those are still a work in progress.
Thanks for posting

The Free Barbarians are supposed to have no diplomat, right?
And I added a ctd to my report.
I haven't had a single ctd in 50 or more years testing only the campaign map, but now I have one in a battle.
It's likely that the errors are missing sprite errors, but Gottard is writing a program to fix this. We're very nearly at the point of finishing the skinning so we can really get these sprites redone and have fewer CTDs.

Should I continue testing battles, since the ctds all seem to have almost the same reason, or should I test an other faction until the next revision?
I could also test only the campaign map with autoresolve cause ctd are annoying if you know they will certainly come.
Please tell me if there is a faction wich needs to be tested in battles.
Test a new faction if you want to.
Take a look at all faction treads to see which of those that hasn't got any or just few reports.
Carthage is already tested but all others should need some more work.
Keep up this speed and the mod will be out much sooner.

Ok sounds like I only have found things that were already known or rather supposed to be.
I will observe that its a special faction now. Maybe I can find something more usefull
dvk, the Free banners are still the old style, not the new pacco kind (also that green is kinda bright and neon-ish...); also note the Eagles atop both the Free and Seleucid banners...
Edit:
There are few old banners - because we have banners for eastern rebels, carthage rebels, egiptian rebels, greek rebels... And I didn´t know that! That one is egiptian reb. banner.
Then we need those banners too?
