HOI 2 mods?

Hey ive been looking for good HOI 2 mods but they all seem to be DD or armageddon which i dont have. are there any mods for the regular version of the game?

edit: also. what do you guys do for your composition of your armies? (12 divisions)

TANK:4
INFANTRY:7

i was also wondering what the HQ does. i heard it doubles the amount of men you can command. Does this mean a field marshal can command 24 divisions?


Also im playing as germany. how do i end up annexing austria?

Yeah, definetely get Doomsday.

As for the composition of armies, I suggest reading some guides in the HoI2 WIki and Paradox forums. Also check the naval guides and such.
I can say, however, that mixing infantry and armor like that is a no no.

First of all, you don't need HQ's in every army, you'll need a few to cover your frontline effectively. One HQ effects the province it's located in and the adjacent provinces. HQ's are faster than infantry so if you're attacking, let them go by themselves or mix with mechanized inf or armors.

Well, this advice mostly works for attacking, but that's probably all you should do, especially as Germany. Let you faster armor and mechanized troops break through the enemy before you send in your slow infantry. You should keep the enemy on the move and then clean up the mess with your troops. Like when invading France as Germany, just let your Panzers roll to Paris and encircle the Maginot line, and the frenchies are finished. Blitzkrieg (don't forget the airforce).

As for the anschluss of Austria, you receive this by event in '38.

ok thanks for the help. yes atm i made a new game since i accidently went to war with france very early (1936) i managed to conquer france but i dont have any allies but hungary and noone will join up with me >.>
