Is is worth keeping the borders option, or would it be fine to ditch the old borders and just have minimal borders?
Yes, keep the old borders as an option.
No, minimal borders only.
Don't care.
I can't imagine going to back to vanilla borders.
I only ever use minimal borders.
Yes, keep the old borders as an option.
Because, I still like the vannila ones.
I guess ditching them makes the installer simpler, smaller and easier to update and manage. I'd say drop them, minimal borders are certainly nicer to look at.
Minimal borders only. Installed them when it became an option, never changed it back.

Unless there is something better you can put on, or you need the extra space, I'd keep it. I still play with Vanilla borders, especially when I play a Barbarian or a far East campaign, because it is easier to identify territories in an unknown part of the map with the old borders.

DBH, how hard is modding the borders? Could you just put a modding appendix in the Readme file instructing people how to make them like vanilla or vise versa? I'm not sure but I am assuming the borders is determined by the secondary color in the Descr_sm_factions.txt
is the minimal borders all all the new provinces if not could some-one explain what they are sorry for the really bad noob question
