    Default Minimal Borders Option

Is is worth keeping the borders option, or would it be fine to ditch the old borders and just have minimal borders?

I like the minimal borders, the old vanilla borders suck compared to them... I wouldn't mind taking the option out.

I prefer to keep the list of options short, so people don't feel like they are filling out a tax return when they install. But if people are still using the option there is no urgent need to remove it.

I guess ditching them makes the installer simpler, smaller and easier to update and manage. I'd say drop them, minimal borders are certainly nicer to look at.

Minimal borders only. Installed them when it became an option, never changed it back.

The minimal borders option makes the borders between regions on the mini-map and strat-map more subtle.

Unless there is something better you can put on, or you need the extra space, I'd keep it. I still play with Vanilla borders, especially when I play a Barbarian or a far East campaign, because it is easier to identify territories in an unknown part of the map with the old borders.

Perhaps drop the option, but have the file available for download if someone wants vanilla style borders.

DBH, how hard is modding the borders? Could you just put a modding appendix in the Readme file instructing people how to make them like vanilla or vise versa? I'm not sure but I am assuming the borders is determined by the secondary color in the Descr_sm_factions.txt

That is the case, Maraxus. A few posts above, I suggested hosting a vanilla color's file for those who don't care for the minimal borders.
