    Go to your med2 folder, open "mods", SS, data. Make a copy of the export_describe_unit.txt, save it somewhere else. Open the original. There are all units with stats. Search the unit you want to change, for example the longbowmen. You find this:

    type Longbowmen
    dictionary Longbowmen ; Longbowmen, l
    category infantry
    class missile
    voice_type Light
    banner faction main_missile
    banner holy crusade
    soldier Longbowmen, 48, 0, 0.8
    attributes sea_faring, hide_forest, can_withdraw, stakes, stakes
    formation 1.2, 1.2, 2.4, 2.4, 4, square
    stat_health 1, 0
    stat_pri 6, 1, quality_bodkin_arrow, 190, 24, missile, missile_mechanical, piercing, none, 0, 1

    The red number is the attack value. You can now change it. If they are too weak, double the number. Or lower it, as you wish. You could also make the arrows effective against armour. Change the primary attribute (red) to ap (armour-piercing)

    stat_pri_attr no
    stat_sec 1, 1, no, 0, 0, melee, melee_blade, blunt, mace, 45, 1
    stat_sec_attr ap
    stat_pri_armour 0, 3, 2, flesh

    There must be some threads about this all over this place.
