    Default IMPORTANT!

I'm glad that such many reports has been made, but some of you haven't done any or at least very few repports so far!

As a beta tester of Roma Surrectum 2 are you obligated to test and report any error you see.
This not a charity, this is a hard job that ONLY should be available to people who spend a massiv amount of time testing the game.

If you aren't able to do this, sorry but you don't belong here.
I do not mean to harsh but this is serious business and we are only in need of people who takes this seriously!

I know for example that Tone gives up a lot of sleep each and every day just so that this mod can be release and I fairly sure that Dvk and many others in this team do the same.
We have spend hours and hours of work on this and it is therefor hard for us to see people who believes that this is a opportunity for you to play and have fun, it's not!
You have been granted a chance to test this fantastic mod, take it and do your job as some of you already have done or leave now and wait for the mod as the rest.

Those who continue with this will loss there access to this forum.

    Viktor.

My apologies, but I begin with exams this wednesday. School is more important than a computer game to me. I can do testing later, but I haven't got more time now. If you think I should therefore be "fired", then that's up to you.

I also said it to Tone, "if you need someone more" I would become beta tester. This means that as far as that's not necessary, I don't have to be beta tester; if you have enough people, alright, then I am not going to spend more time on it. As I already said, it's up to you.

Same with me to. I had exams last week. And most of my spare time went up on the UI changes. But now my RTW disc seems to be broken. It just didn't run the beta anymore. And now I tried it again with vanilla and that doesn't work to. So I will first need to buy a new disc.... Sorry

Of course exams are more important and also that some of you have been working doing development work, hence my line about that in what I said. We appreciate you being here guys.

I think the point is that we desperately need people to be testing and posting reports as much as possible. You all have valid reasons.

Probably worth my while just advertising for beta testers again to get more in?

I am gonna be testing the Seluecids ASAP!

They do look tricky, i will HAVE to move their Starting Denarii up by about 5000 as tehy are just too poor to do anything!

also ive noticed with all nations they all have terrible income (at the start atleast) what i did with rome is build as many temples as i can in turn one and if some places i didnt i would put low taxes then next turn turn mad cities to low taxes and bring happy ones up as much as possible. also built academies in cities with govenors/family members so they get their management up

Yeah, Seleucids lose about half their territories from rebellion on the second round otherwise.

so that's why i'm gonna change the starting amount, so that it is right, without using the console, then that can be implemented in the Full Release!

I only want to add enough to make it playable/fun

    But it shouldn't be easy!

Even in RS1.5 the Seleucids struggle at the start with a huge empire and limited resources. I think it's necessary to lose some settlements as the Seleucids in order to survive.

Having economies that are a bit of a struggle at the start is one way to slow down the player that 'rushes' the game (and then complains that it's too easy!)

ok i want to appolagise for being a bit lax so far, but im ready to knuckle down again, which factions do you need testing, i dont mind if its not Rome as it is for a good cause. and i take it the unit cards for rome and some of the others will come later.

    Just pick any faction......

I will try and make some suggestions on how to track who is doing what and to improve the ways in which the problems are reported.

Anyone should make suggestions. I am sure that something a beta tester suggests as being the way to report problems may not suit the developers who are trying to keep track of what needs to be investigated.

I don't think that it matters if a number of people 'test' the same faction so long as we all don't pick the same faction and ignore the other ones. I am sure that the number of factions available will mean that each of us will test multiple factions.

The main thing in the long term is that more than one person tests each faction. We all have different levels of observation. Also, no two people run the campaign exactly the same way.

You should test the same faction as you did before in custom battle.
