Hi. I installed MTW2, then Kingdoms. I installed SV, and it installed fine. But when I run the desktop icon for SV, I press D and enter and will load all the files but the game wont come up.

are you using vista? does it say access denied a bunch of times? if so, you have to right click on the icon, and go to 'run as administrator.'
if this doesn't work, do you have the gold edition or medieval II and kingdoms separately? make sure that they are properly patched, and don't change the core files at all. try re-downloading and re-installing chivalry.
its worth it to figure out whats wrong, this mod is by far better than stainless steel and dues lo vult. its that good.
good luck trying to figure it out, maybe sicilian vespers will be by and help, he's always very helpful and polite. so just try out some of the things i suggested and wait for him to answer you.![]()

I got the same problem. I use windows XP, and my MTW isn't gold edition. 3.0 used to work fine, and vanilla still does. But 3.2 crashes ("Medieval II encountered an error and must be closed"), just before the opening cinematic.
Can it be because I installed first the patches from kingdoms (I thought you could update it without installing any canpaign). It didn't work, so I installed americas. I also use a crack for it to work sincemy lil brother spit coca-cola on the DVD shortly after I installed...
Nevermind. Works now.
How did you fix it?
