    Default Editing export_descr_unit

Basically, I'm trying to create super units that can rout entire armies on their own by modifying their attack, defense, and health attributes, but it doesn't seem like any of my changes in the export_descr_unit file are taking hold.

For example, I changed the time it took to create a Polybian-era group of Eqvites Romani from 1 season to 4 and the game still registered the build time as 1 season.

On the other hand, the changes I made to the descr_model_battle file were reflected in game. So I'm not sure what the deal is.

    hmmm.......
"WE WILL SMITE THE INVADERS FROM OUR SKIES! Though they sweep over our lands like the sands of winter, never again will we bow before them; never again endure their oppression; never again endure their tyranny. We will strike without warning and without mercy, fighting as one hand, one heart, one soul. We will shatter their dreams and haunt their nightmares, drenching our ancestors' graves with their blood. And as our last breath tears at their lungs; as we rise again from the ruins of our cities...they will know: Helghan belongs to the Helghast." -Scholar Visari

If you have installed the Trivial script, upon start-up of the mod, it will automatically replace the edu file in the data folder with the one from the SP or MP back-up folder, depending on what you have chosen when starting the game. So my guess is you should mod the edu file in SP back-up. And don't forget to make a back-up of the back-up .

    It works as Ludens says.

I had the same problem because I wanted to edit this file, so I edited the file in the data folder. I saw it did not worked so I looked for the solution by searching in the shortcuts code.

Actualy, if you play the "multiplayer" game, the files are uploaded from "\...\Rome - Total War\EB\mp game edu backup" . If you play a solo game, the files are uploaded from "\...\Rome - Total War\EB\sp game edu backup" .

I tried to modify this file to have the shorter unit possible, idealy 1 soldier per unit.

Impossible, the smalest number of soldier per unit is three... I will play Europa Barbarorum : Duel total war another time
