    Default I can't download it!

I can download to to the point of having it downloading itself but then it disappears.

Here, a picture's worth a thousand words. So this is like 5 thousand words...

    http://s408.photobucket.com/albums/p...Download-1.jpg

**Double click it and this pop's up

    http://s408.photobucket.com/albums/p...rrent=Edit.jpg

    Press ACCEPT...

    http://s408.photobucket.com/albums/p...ent=Accept.jpg

Blah, Blah, Blah... Terms and Conditions... ACCEPT

    http://s408.photobucket.com/albums/p...nt=Install.jpg

I believe that that is the correct destination ( it worked for XGM/PI/Res Gestae/Troy etc.)[http://s408.photobucket.com/albums/p...=Directory.jpg]

Then it just disappears and is nowhere to be found... All I could find was
    C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War\SPQR_Readme
The read-me... huh?... No way to open the game or data folder or nuthin like that...

Question did you put it in the same file as XGM/PI/Res Gestae? Spqr mod dosent have it own floder of love but change all the orginall files and replaces them with it files. Try makeing a new RTW file with no mods in though use xgm if it has it own place you get the lovely citys. Then try installing it again with no mods just vanilla files and try it again the destination should look like "C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome Total War \RomeTW.exe" this. Though try haveing the destination SPQR insdead of "The Creative Assembly" or somthing and see if it works then.

And how would I use just Vanilla files? Un-installing all previous mods?

For you frist question yes you would have to unistall all the mods or mod that is on there. The best way to have more than one mod is to install a clean copy of RTW then take those files create new folders and copy paste them into those folders.

For your last question does the game start when you click on the icon. For remember it take the vanilla files and replaces them with the spqr files so when you open up your folder it should look as though nothing has changed. Yes the read me file should be there but look at your campaign files and see if anything is different other wise you need to reinstall it and try it again to see if it launchs. Other wise try asking in the bug section.

it is very important to use a clean copy of your vanilla game. other mods leave parts of there files still in the rtw folder wich causes ctd lather on.

if you installed spqr correctly you should dubble click the vanilla start icon on your desktop this is the launcher for SPQR.

I had the same issue. I installed a clean copy of RTW, installed patch V1.3 and then patch V1.5. I played the prologue. The I saved SPQR to C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly under a folder I made and named SPQR mod next to the folder Rome-Total War. I then executed the SPQR_7.0.exe. I hit run, accepted Terms of Use, installed under the destination folder C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome-Total War. The issue appears that you need to make sure the destination folder is where you have RTW. That fixed the issue for me. Give it a shot.

what do you mean with all you get is the read-me?

you only get one new folder in your rtw directory this folder is called SPQR_readme. there should be like 8 files (word, exel, ...) the SPQR_readme folder is the only visual change afther installing the mod.

to start the SPQR mod you should use the vanille icon.
