know any good multiplayer mods?

anyone know any good mods that work online? I mostly play online but I'm tired of the lack of content in vanilla RTW and MTW.

I think NTW is the only mod that is played in multiplayer. NTW players can be found at chat lobby.

RTR's The Iberian Conflict (TIC) is mutiplayer compatible, in fact they recently completed a successfully MP competition check it out here. There's also a thread where you can leave your xfire.

Also I believe EB is MP ready.

i saw that EB has multiplayer, but it requires Hamachi, and ive never gotten that program to work. the steps to actually get a game working are also ridiculously complex, so i doubt many peoples would play it.

I've never tried EB MP but I noticed there is a separate shortcut in the EB folder just for MP.

If your interested - leave your xfire in the TIC sub forum and I'm sure you'll get a game. I can assure you its straight forward and stable.

Also keep an eye open - as RTR will be releasing their latest mod Fate of Empires in the not too distant future. I'm pretty sure an MP comp will come shortly after release.

yeah that separate shortcut for EB multiplayer will take you to the multiplayer lobby, but no one has a compatible version, so you can't play with anyone.

However i guess I will try installing hamachi and xfire and put my name up on that forum. I just wish I didnt have to uninstall EB to play TIC. I would be more willing if TIC had more factions but I will still give it a try.

well i downloaded rome total realism gold edition. I didnt really like it. Not enough units for a lot of the factions. Also all of greece's infantry use the phalanx, BLEH! i dislike phalanxs.

guess im trying that EB hamachi deal.

YA you are right there is a separate shortcut in the EB folder. As i had also not used but my friend are using it.
