I am playing XGMD newest version and I noticed that the AI gets gigantic unit bonus( like 2-3 cities with a full stack inside it, including rebels). Is it possible to cancel the bonus? sorry for bad english, thanks.

Gll25, XGMD is meant to be tough. The good news is that if you survive first 5-10 turns and take a few settlements, game will become somewhat easier and even more interesting. Try Medium or Hard difficulty (on battlefield) and fatigue on (fatigue on will make your life a bit easier: enemy will route somewhat earlier in the battle).
P.S. This can be changed, but better do not ask: RedFox will have a look and will conclude that it's too easy for human player and will add a stack or two more.
He is speaking from personal experience, you know. Sparta always seems to fall too easy...P.S. This can be changed, but better do not ask: RedFox will have a look and will conclude that it's too easy for human player and will add a stack or two more
If you can't handle the current settings of XGM - Diadochi, then you need to polish your skills a little bit - I find it painfully easy on VH/VH, but people started complaining about full stack Thorakitai Hoplites with silver chevrons. It wasn't THAT hard to beat them, ME! Why did I remove them..? That I will never know.

I didn't say it was hard RedFox and its very easy. The only thing that scared me when I first saw it was the Torakithai Hoplites of The Achaeans, with bronze bonus of atk/def & silver chevrons...But they are easy![]()
That is very decent of you to keep XGMD challenging but still playble. Do not be sad, RedFox, you can always bring those hoplites back. And, btw you break game easily on VH/VH, cause you know the game from within. And, I agree, it's all about practice.
@ gll25. Let Macs attack Athens and break their teeth against that rebel stack and then stab them in the back. Do not be afraid to loose your other starting settlement to Epirus, if they attack. Your first priority is to take over Peloponessus. Good luck
