Where to begin? From the complete misrepresentation of a variety of religious figures, to a completely pathetic attempt at 9/11 conspiracy, the entire movie reeks of poor or deliberately misguided research. I was surprised they didn't pull a David Icke and claim the world was ruled by multi-dimensional, shape-shifting lizards.

It's nothing more than New-Age conspiracy theorism, on par with David Icke. It's complete malarkey.
And, on a personal note: its attempt to twist classical paganism into some bizarre anti-Christian rant especially annoys me. It has led some people to paint New Agery and Paganism with one broad brush, which does modern paganism a gross disservice. Though they probably don't realize it, equating the two is a huge error in analysis. It's really, really ing annoying to have to explain to people that they are two different things. The proliferation Zeitgeist's idiocy does not help matters at all.

I'm too tired to do a point-by-point counterargument.
But I know Thunder-Dick can, and when he gets to this thread, he'll shred apart any pro-Zeitgeist argument.

Doesn't this sort of thinking bother you? Don't you think it might bother your family and loved ones? Don't you think conspiratorial thinking could place a burden on your friends as it has conspiracy theorists in the past? Could there not be a true reason why you are so widely rejected?

I was talking about the main god IE God of the sun, But all other gods, say Poseiden Greek god of the sea, has an equvelant in another culture, say Trident Roman god of sea, Total fakery

You do realize that the majority of the information presented on the "similarities" of the various sun gods was completely false? Take for example, their account of Horus. Born of a virgin birth, started teaching at 12, crucified and then resurrected 3 days later. ALL WRONG. That's not even CLOSE to what the real story of Horus is.

I don't believe in religion either, but the information contained in Zeitgeist was horribly inaccurate. The movie is a bloody mess of wrong information, misleading statements, and downright lies.

As for Greek and Roman religions being closely related, there's a historical precedent and reason for that.
