    Default question about difficulty

    Let me start by saying thanks for making this mod. I've only been playing since 6.4 but I've been hooked ever since. My question is, between 6.4 and 7.0, which is harder? It seems like somethings missing in 7.0... like defeats and impossible and unfair situations. I guess their armies just break sooner than usual or something. Is it my imagination or was this done intentionally?

    its your imagination. Give the AI time to build up and things get tougher. Remember SPQR gets harder later in the campaign unlike RTW and alot of mods where the player becauses a super faction and it gets easier/ Play by house rules if you want a challenge.

    Thanks for the reply. About the house rules, do you think its alright to bend the pause rule if you pretend the general discussed some sort of plan with his officers before the fight started? like hiding spearmen in the skirmishes? They should know when to emerge and slaughter the cavalry in real life.

    The houserules are just guidelines for a more realistic and challenging gameplay. Add or erase Rules as you wish if you think they are realistic or not or that you may have more fun without some rules.
