The motorcade of the President of Poland has been attacked in Georgia by Russian troops. The Russian's have fired at least 3 machine-gun bursts at the convoy. The cause of Kaczynski's visit to Georgia is fifth anniversary of "the rose revolution" when the Georgians overthrew the corrupt regime of Eduard Shevardnadze.

Shots fired near Georgia leader

Shots have been fired near a motorcade carrying the Georgian and Polish presidents, Georgian officials say.
No injuries were reported in the incident, close to a checkpoint near Georgia's rebel South Ossetia region.
Georgian officials said the shots had been fired from inside South Ossetia, though this has not been confirmed.
President Mikhail Saakashvili and his Polish counterpart Lech Kaczynski were visiting an area where Georgian and Russian forces clashed in August.
Georgia has been marking the fifth anniversary of the Rose Revolution that swept Mr Saakashvili to power.

Poland did same thing to Russia as well.

Several centuries? Get ed. Repression in Poland was no worse there during imperial times than anywhere else in Russia. In fact, most of the liberal reforms were first implemented in Poland and Finland before they were set up in Russia itself. (Alexander the Second is a tsar that is well respected not only in Russia, but in Poland and Finland as well.)

P.S. Honestly, what a thread. Some people just need to express their bitter hatred of Russia; I guess it is good for them to release their hate, or they might just as well drown in their own venom.

From what I get, all that happened was: there was a shooting in an (unstable) area, and the Polish president just happened to be driving in the same area at the same time.
Kinda like the time Hillary Clinton got "shot at" in Iraq.
