    Default Settlement glitch

I have this weird glitch all the time when defending my settlements in a seige. I sometimes charge out my cavalry or some troops to damage enemy artillery then retreat back behind the walls, but for some reason the gates never close. The enemy then just have a walkthrough and I usually take more casualties than I would have otherwise. What can it be?

If you have other units in close proximity of the gate, that can affect the gate not closing. The best thing I find is to have the gateway and the surrounding area on the ground totally clear. Then once the cav have made it back thru the gate and it closes, move anyother units closer to the gate.

I've had this also some times, and with no troops around. Sometimes I can run through the gates a couple of times, and eventually it'll close.

The only other thing I could suggest and this is from personal experience is that that cav unit that has passed through the gate is not far enough away for the gate to think that it is time to close.

Very frustrating though I definately agree.

I had the same experience in SS, but I don not think its due to SS. I remember having the same issue with vanilla and one or two other mods. I think this is a M2TW vanilla issue.
