You know, as a citizen of the USA, I'd like to say that this is exceedingly disappointing.

Among the questions asked of some 2,500 people who were randomly selected to take the test, including "self-identified elected officials," was one which asked respondents to "name two countries that were our enemies during World War II."

Sixty-nine percent of respondents correctly identified Germany and Japan. Among the incorrect answers were Britain, China, Russia, Canada, Mexico and Spain.

I can only hope that this survey is flawed in some way because those "self identified elected officials" should be fired....out of a cannon into the sun.

I remember once back in middle school the teacher asking us to write what we knew about Pearl Harbor on a December 7th. So we did, and one person was asked to read what they had and this girl began by saying that she knew Pearl Harbor was the beginning of WWII for the Americans, when the GERMANS bombed it.
