Wow. All I can say is: Thank You, DNeed. Almost brought tears to my eyes. A perfect movie with great scenes, perfect cuts, an awesome retro effect and the perfect music. +rep
Thank you very much, mate! Compliments like that keep me making those videos!

D-Need, can you make a tutorial on how to create these videos for Empire, please? Share a bit of your knowledge and pro tips with us? I would really like to do something like that you just posted.
Well, it's pretty simple, actually. Change the camera to debug mode, start Fraps or use the Xfire video capturing tool (that's what I did here), record loads of footage to have many scenes to choose from (I recorded one hour of footage for these three minutes video). Take all kinds of shots, 'Ins' for first-person view, 'Del' if you want to anchor the camera to a unit, and simple still camera shots. Use After Effects for color correction and for screening the footage with this old film look or use Premiere for simple and limited post processing. Then put all the video material into Premiere, cut it the way you want and put some music on it (in my case I chose the music at first and cut it afterwards, according to the music).
That's it!
Amazing videos, screenshots... Everything! +rep

And I've finally updated the first post of this thread. It's up-to-date now with all my screenshots and video Please take a look at it
it is not perfect but it is awesome...1 question Why no close view?
And the worst thing is that there is not a clear a plot line...
Anyway the style used is gorgeous i love it+rep
Thanks Giovi!
Regarding your questions: I havn't included close views and zooms because that's not easy to do. I zoomed out just a little at 1:21 minute and it was a goddamn work to make every frame match with the previous during the zoom. Especially because of my low-res camcorder (I didn't have good anchor points in the footage). That little zoom probably took me the longest of the whole video (apart from the ships, maybe, because there were no anchor points at all in that water). But if you'd really like to see some nice zoom-in's - I think that it's a good idea, too - I can try to do some closer zoom in a next video, maybe with a faster zoom where I have less frames to manually work on.
Ok, this was a bit of a technical answer. The next one regaring the plot wont be, I promise:
I just had no idea what story I could do with a garden pond like that lol. For my first video like this I thought it would be ok even without a plot
