    Default Newbie installation problem - please help

    Dear all, I am totally new to this forum and I actually registered to write this post. The story is the following: I used to play RomeTW, liked it but didn't play a lot.. and after some years I thought it is on time to proceed with the medieval TW.

    I ordered Medieval TW 2 (Gold edition which includes the Kingdoms add-on). For weeks I didn't have time to try it out, today was supposed to be my big day, but what a downer as I run into a big installation problem right at the start! I tried to search the forum for a solution but no success. I also checked the WIKI part of the page but no luck. Anyhow, sorry if this has been posted a million times before.

    Just the relevant basics about the computer specs. XP-SP2. My hard drive has got three partitions (H (system) ,I and J). No C:, because during the installation of MSWin C: was assigned to a card reader. However this doesn't really matter as I have the system running for over two years without any problems.

    When I start the installation, the following happens:

    Select installation English or German -> English

    Screen 1. Welcome stuff... ->NEXT
    Screen 2. Licence Agreement -> Accept -> NEXT

    Screen 3. And now, the big problem:

    On the third screen I am supposed to select the Kingdom campaigns I want to install. The problem is, I have no possibility to select the hard drive partition where I want to install the game. It tells me I have not enough space on H: (which is true + I will never have space there) And all I can do is to cancel the installation altogether.

    To visualise all this I have uploaded four screenshots which show what is happening.

    So I bought the game and cant even start installing it? The problem is in the moment that I have to cancel the installation before I am able to select the partition where I have the space 15+ gigs. Please tell me this is not true

    As you can imagine the situation is quite frustrating in the moment but I hope on some kind person's help! Again I am completely new to the game and this forum but after having some good experiences with the user communities from other games I am confident things will go well. I rely on you guys and girls rather than SEGA's costumer support!

    So the question is: do I have any options to install the game I bought?

    Thank you!

    You need to install Medieval onto your J: partition. To do this read this carefully.

    I am installing this very moment. SD_West thanks a lot for your quick and competent reply. However I stil have to comment on this. It is hard to understand that the game can be released with this type of mistake in the installation procedure. It is almost unbelievable. I guess if I was 15 years younger I would have figured out the solution myself by clicking around impatiently. Anyhow SD_West, you saved my day All the best I wish you
