Default Nuclear Debris Found At Syrian Reactor Bomb Site

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/mcclatchy/20...latchy/3105039

A Syrian facility that Israel bombed last year had similarities to a nuclear reactor and chemically processed uranium particles were found at the site, but a final determination can't be made until Syria provides "the necessary transparency," a new U.N. International Atomic Energy Agency report out Wednesday says.
This is a video released by McClatchy containing pictures and other information of the location and description of the facility, it's a very in-depth presentation.

    How surprising!
Perhaps the USA and evil Zionist Israel planted the so called evidence! (sarcasm off)

Seriously though, I said a few months ago when the attack happened that Syria was up to something.

    this is the logical explanation.

yea like already said, syria were up to no good and they got a bit of punishment for it.

was was even better tho was that the much trumpeted russian air defence syria and iran had purchased (which russia was hailing as 'unjammable')was completely ing useless.

its not a suprise that syria were rather quiet on the issue.. they had no legs to stand on

    Syrians were nubs.

Would come as no real shock, one can generally find something fishy is going on by the level of complaint. The fact the Syrians got real quiet about it so quickly to me indicates a certain level of being caught with their pants down.

Lol, that's right, I remember Iran being particularly quiet at that time too, actually.

The Middle Easterners are noobs when it comes to hiding stuff. They need to learn from the Indians and the Pakistanis.

They never signed on to NNPT so not like they really have to hide anything, besides everyone knows they are nuclear.

    Did Iran sign the NNPT?

Don't turn into a hypocrite just because the people you like to defend start taking a little heat.

Since when did anyone actually follow international protocols?
Don't turn into a hypocrite just because the people you like to defend start taking a little heat.

Come on, either believe i following all international protocols, or none. Not just picking and choosing.

No it didn't. Aside from some intelligence they received from the US, the Israelis pretty much carried out the Op on their own, and they didn't have to fly over Iraqi airspace to do it.

and the US is pretty much dead set against any military strike on Iran.
I wouldn't say dead set. Its more a matter of policy debate. With the ongoing conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan the people at the top have opted for exhausting other options of approach rather than the application of direct hard power. That may change if the policy of containment continues to not net the results so many have wanted with regards to getting Iran to abandon its nuclear weapons program.

Yes it does. The UN doesn't dictate Israeli sovereignty or national security, nor is it responsibly for safeguarding the lives of Israeli civilians in the face of a clear and present danger.

    Stop deluding yourself.

France hasn't used its nuclear reactors to build up a reserve of weapons grade fissile material like the Syrians have.

Stop making false comparisons trying to defend the Syrians of all people.

Yeah...funny, when will those rogue states start to get the message?

If I was a non-nuclear country I'd be trying hella hard to get my hands on one, seems the US and every other similar nation backs off when you already have them.
    No they don't.

Probably one of the greatest falsehoods of the modern era is the notion that a country with access to a nuclear weapons capability would be impervious to outside attack.

Not even the minor nuclear powers can claim such a status.

You have alot to learn about the fine art of international diplomacy then.

Anyway, the 5 nuclear powers also signed the NPT under the promise that they would gradually disarm their nuclear armament right? I think so far they dont seem to care about the treaty either ...

Do you have any idea of how many nuclear weapons have been dismantled since the end of the Cold War?

Okay, Syria didnt sign the NNPT right? So did Israel have the right to bomb their supposed nuclear factory?

No Syria has, only the countries I listed above havent signed or signed and withdrew. As far as Israel having the right, *Israel* didnt have the right but the site did deserve to be destroyed. So Ill chalk it up as a necessary evil were while Israel went beyond what it should be able to do, did do something justified. If Syria wants a *non* weapons based nuclear program they are fully entitled to it within the guidelines of the treaty...why do you think no one gives countries like Brazil a hard time?
