shield wall in RTW

how does one put the shield wall formation in RTW? i have tried doing this but to no product.

It`s a bi feature only. You can`t use it if you play with the rtw exe.

a pity i must say. Is there a way via modding to make a feature available for RTW or an already available mod that does this?

The hardcoded part doesn`t mean just that it is hard. It also means it is illegal to mess with the content of the exe. So, no, you won`t find a mod doing it. BUT, you can play a RTW mod or even vanilla RTW with the exe of BI. Doing this would allow you to implement the shield wall and the other BI features(like hording). And it`s a rather easy process:

Though implementing the shield wall completely would mean editing the vanilla rtw interface so that you have the shield wall button in game.

Just play Barbarian Invasion. The units are more varied in special abilities and there is more than one faction with Berserkers, I think four in total have Berserkers.

Actuly Celts have Hounds of Culann which are berserkers and Lombards, Alemanni and Burgundi have Lombard berserk. BI has alot of copied units.
