Man rescues cat from animal shelter!!

DALLAS – Police are looking for an irate pet lover so intent on liberating his lost cat that he wielded a bat to fend off animal shelter employees. Dallas Animal Shelter manager Kent Robertson said the man found his missing gray and blue short-haired cat at the shelter, where it had been brought by someone who thought it was a stray.

He blew his stack when told he had to pay a $132 fee to take his cat.

Police say the man returned Monday, loaded his cat into a carrier without paying the fee, and threatened the staff with the baseball bat. No one was injured.

Most people thank shelter workers. Says Robertson: "This was pretty extreme."

The man could be charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault.

Police Senior Cpl. Kevin Janse says police have a clue — the man signed the shelter guest book before fleeing.

I am kinda siding with the pet owner myself.

Emotionally i am siding with the pet owner since it was his cat, but in reality, that dude could have been anyone taking that cat. I think if a owner provided enough evidence, they should release the pet free of charge.

Because it is an example of Big brother using compartmentalization to deprive us of Lif. Liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

If there was only one person to confront about getting your cat it would be easy but you have a government system that you have to go through and submit to even if something of yours is unjustly held from you it does not matter.

Personally, I side with the pet owner guy. His means may have been extreme, but he had good intentions, and just wanted his goddamn cat back. Not his fault the animal shelter is run by a bunch of dicks.

Yes, his actions were a little extreme. However, $132 for a cat? Are they crazy? I mean, let's say this is your beloved pet. When someone makes you pay $132 just to get it back, well, that's just ridiculous. So, I side with the pet owner.

Obviously the guy shouldn't have signed the guest book though. That was definitely a mistake.

He should have gone to the media. They'd love a story like that and he would probably get his cat back without breaking any laws.

Though I assume the fees were to cover feeding, cleaning, and general care of the cat. I don't think he should have gone to those extremes. I would have just been grateful to find my beloved pet, pay the fees, and go home.

Its not like those employees would have taken that fee money home with them. Why do idiots like that always have to do everything by the book.

And why are weak anemic cats POLITICALLY

bashed while dogs seemingly can get by mauling the neighbors kids and the dog catcher comes up, sees foam around the dogs mouth and jumps back in his truck and leaves.

Where I live you cant even get the stupid dog catcher to do his job.
