Installing 7.0 without removing 6.4?

I really want to play the new 7.0 version, but i dont really want to just abandon my 6.4 empire. So is there a way to install both mods on one pc? I dont care if i have to install the entire game twice, i just want to hear how.

make a new copy of your vanille game.

- save your saved game uninstall rtw and delete the rtw folder.

- reinstall your rtw game patch it to 1.5

- copy your patched 1.5 rtw game

- install SPQR version 6.4 and place your saved game in the saves folder

- install SPQR version 7 to the other copy of your rtw game

now you got 2 version of spqr you can play.

you can play as many mods as you want this way
(i've got more then 10)
so you can have vanilla, SPQR TW 6.4, SPQR TW 6.4 with superfaction addon, and SPQR TW 7.0 if you want

the only bad thing is that it takes some room on your pc, but normally that shouldn't be a problem

i also tried to do it this way but somehow it doesnt work when i intall a mod on a copy of my vanilla so i only have spqr 7.0

you need 2 clean copy s for this. one to install 6.4 to and one to install 7 to. so it' s best you remove your existing copy reinstall the game patch it and then copy the complete folder. this has to work becous i have 6.4 and 7 up and running.

be sure to copy your saved game file to an other place, afther you reinstalled your version you can put this file in the saves folder again so you can continue your 6.4 ampaign.
