Default Stanless Steel: Anatomy Mod Thread

    Hi all,

As we all know Medieval 2 units have some truly awful faces. This is particularly true for Muslim, Mongol and Hungarian units.

This mod / modders resource will be an effort to rectify this problem.

In the coming weeks I will be experimenting with Facegen (the utility used in Oblivion) to create some heads for our ugly Medieval II friends. These will be available as a modders resource.

An interesting feature in Facegen is its ability to generate faces off photos.

How will this work with paintings and historical statues? Let's try.

    First up, the great Saladin:

Good luck on your work Banzai! (I hear this word being shouted by japanese in world at war)
Baird: "Hey! Stop shooting it, you're pissing it off!"

Cole: "You're telling me what not to shoot in here? Look at this ****!"

Carmine: "Landown? I heard there's a ****load of grubs down there..."

    Marcus: "More like 10 ****loads"
    _____________
Dom: "Marcus, ya ever seen them feed on imulsion?"

Marcus: "Hmph, they can eat **** and die for all I care..."

Nice to see people pushing things to the limit.
Tell me: can these new faces be integrated into existing units for even more facial variation?

And why do I recognise that face to the right of Saladin?

This is wonderful! I've known of Facegen for some time but never though of using it in MTW2! Great job Banzai!

    That...

    is sorta scary.

Have you tried combining that with Normal Mapping? That would be insane.

Spartan Hoplites. Two version: "historical" (dunce caps) and badass.

Amazing work! And how did you get that defensive formation for the hoplites?

i like the work, but somehow the faces feel like they are a little too... "far down" if you understand what i mean...

the helmsts should start at the eyebrows or thereabouts i think... either that or the faces are disproportional to the helmets or the other way...

the hoplite with a mustache (2nd from the left) looks perfect tho... i think its a size thing.
addicted modder... but crap at it

Is it just me, or are you making Greek/Roman units for SS? Are you planning to make an entire Rome submod?
