I only get mad when people are too damn lazy to find the answer for themselves when all it needs is a quick search of 10 seconds on the forums to find the answer they are looking for. Saves everyone time and effort. Case in point, on the first page of this forum there are three individual threads concerning Steam, have you looked at any of them?

Unfortunately Steam isn't really supported, there was a Steam version floating around somewhere but I think the links for it have gone down and haven't been updated in quite a long time

So I bought the CD version yesterday, i'm installing it right now. Should be no problem now i think. Will get back to you in a bit.

It seems however that i've hit the first snag. My The game crashed as soon as I ended deployment.

hmm....experience the crash again and check the .log file (unless its still there).
Since it crashes in battles rather than on start-up/main menus that rules out scripting/campaign issues so it might be a missing mesh or a messed up battle models.db or EDU, either way its probably a bad installation Best bet is to wipe FKOC, reinstall and makes sure its patched to 1.5. Also are you running the latest 1.3 patch for Med2 and all the usual things.

Hope you solve it as the mod is awesome. (see I can be nice )

Well I checked the links on the stickies and none seem to be working as of now. Any links hidden in this thread? (On a puny ipad mini so it's an annoyance to do any real browsing/typing for me)

Aah what a shame the links are dead. Rome 2 is total embarrasment (AGAIN, same like Empire) and I wanted to play this mod again like I used to some years ago. Ach the golden times of Total War era. Shame its over

Is that the Kingdoms version by any chance or just 1.3?

No this is 1.5, hence the name of the thread and the name of the file. There is a Kingdoms version somewhere but all the links are inactive and it confers no real advantage over the Med2 version. Actually due to a crash with faction leaders it offers less gameplay. The unofficial Kingdoms version and the original med2 version are both 1.5.
