I have nothing against the womens movement. Especially when Im walking behind it.
id heard of most of those people...and im not even american.
thats scary but not all that unexpected.
And here's some people at a McCain rally.
You can find idiots in any crowd.
The common culture of a tribe is a sign of its inner cohesion. But tribes are vanishing from the modern world, as are all forms of traditional society. Customs, practices, festivals, rituals and beliefs have acquired a flut and half-hearted quality which reflects our nomadic and rootless existence, predicated as we are on the global air-waves.
ROGER SCRUTON, Modern Culture
The condescending, offensively derisive and partisan tone of the blogger is definitely getting the worst out of those people as he baits them... I think that the people quoted in the in that bloggersite actually have some idea about the political landscape... eg. that ACORN exists, what it is (primary low income housing interest group).
In my own union (of which I have a leadership position), I could get this kind of response from either side of the political divide by pushing buttons in a partisan crowd. That doesn't make my union brothers uniformed idiots.
To the issue raised--"Media Malpractice" and the election of Obama:
I think we are finally seeing a conservative response out of the liberal Michael Moore playbook--that if you don't agree with a political opinion, make a "documentary" film that has somewhat sustainable claims (eg. there are problems with the war on terror) but also contains what amounts to intellectually dishonesty innuendo that can support character assassination against political opponents (eg. this is a class biased war with poor people fighting, rich people getting rich from war/ or eg. Bush and co wanted 911 to happen and contributed to it...) I predict this documentary film will be just as big as any Michael Moore movie because the constituency is just as big (roughly 50% of country is republican) and disaffected (republicans don't control congress or presidency). Remember, in this electoral landslide, conservative values won nearly every social conservative referendum position out there, including the gay marriage ban in liberal California.
I think that due to "scientific" weaknesses (no "control" group poll/interviews of republicans, or independents showing very different results), that the supposed main argument of the documentary against media coverage will go up in political smoke. For republicans it will appear to be a smoking gun to back up our suspicions raised by all those stories of people bringing vulnerable senile seniors and handicapped out to vote for the first time, augmented by very uninformed people. Blaming it on just media malpractice would be a way to avoid the base claim that these people really are just unqualified to vote, canceling out our well-informed opinion.
Blaming it on media malpractice also continues the long-held conservative critique of media bias, and so will ring true with conservatives.
I think the documentary will probably be really well received among conservatives, this guy will be a conservative Michael Moore figure, and be as reviled by liberals as conservatives can't stand Michael Moore. It is clear to most non-liberals, however, that Michael Moore has made a habit of deliberately misstating the truth and twisting core evidence (eg. the Congressman whose statements he edited when the guy responding to Moore's demand that the Congressman send his children to Iraq said something to the effect that that wasn't possible as his son was already going to Afghanistan... but the edited version basically made it sound like he would never support sending his own children into harms way). The irony is that this will probably be the case no matter how close he stays or far he strays from presenting intellectually justifiable, "scientific" findings from polling data! The thesis is so inflammatory that it almost will not matter...

So they had you fooled as well? They didnt even try to do anything . Tell me what the republicans blocked that you wanted passed ? Wasnt it the republicans who stayed in session during the gas crisis while the dems went home? All this crap about how great Obuma was during the housing crisis while Mc Cain was an idiot. Obuma acted like a leader."Call me if you need me" Hes a friggin Senator and it would have been nice to see him actuallty do his job for once instead of just running for president. Again in reality this guy only has 143 days in the senate. Hes a mystery man.The question is WHY did they have a low approval rating? Many people I know disapproved of congress because it failed to implement their agenda and thought that the solution was to have a larger Democratic majority/Democratic president so that they could pass their agenda.
I have nothing against the womens movement. Especially when Im walking behind it.
Please refrain from putting words in my mouth. I never said that was why I disapprove of the Democratic congress. I simply said that, based on opinions of people I talked to, this was one train of thought that would explain why a low-approved congress got a larger majority.
I was attempting pointing out that some people could disapprove of a particular democratically controlled congress, but still support the Democratic "ideology," just like some people who support Republican "ideology" can disapprove of Bush, or McCain, or whoever. It is, similarly, possible for me to vote for a party I disapprove of because I disapprove of the other more. I'm not saying that's what I did, but that was probably as much a factor in this election as bias liberal media leading to uninformed voters

My Great Lord Feloric wonders why you continue to start these spam, but not technically spam threads.
All Hail Lord Feloric
Im not positive if these 12 were picked randomly or were picked specifically by a black woman from the Obama campaign. You can find idiots in any crowd.
There will be a poll out tomorrow backing this up for all Obuma voters. This is what we mean by the dumbing down of america. The people arent dumb. Just misinformed
I have nothing against the womens movement. Especially when Im walking behind it.
maybe those 12 were shown because editing the ones who actually knewout to help reinforce their point. Now anyone who actually knows a thing or two can see that.

And guess who started the personal attacks that made the Obama campaign spent time refuting them and not talking about the issues. It was that old guy.

Like the issues matter. No president ever does what he said he would. Your voting on party lines, personality, party lines, and whoever's in power when things are good or bad.
Maybe but no. They were the only 12 interviewed. There were no others.maybe those 12 were shown because editing the ones who actually knew out to help reinforce their point. Now anyone who actually knows a thing or two can see that.
That would be so if the results werent so one sided. Again there will be a poll out today backing this up with a much larger sample. This video proves really nothing, since its a small (a really small) sampling of Obama supporters.
Your only proving my point. Stop the nonsense. The main stream media beat that into your brain. I might as well say Obuma is like Lenin and follows his policies.Thats because Obama won because mccain was too much like bush, His policy was shadowed by bush,
The media wasnt biased
They did all but campaign for Obuma
That proves they werent biased?Remember back in 2000 and 2004 the media was slammin Bush, except for Fox of course. Yet still Bush won, close but still won
Shepard smith said it great when he fought of charges that the mainstream media was in the tank for Obama.
Hes an arse.

Rush, i know what the media is like, i dont get brainwashed, i know many of my repub conservative friends voted obama because they was sick of bush, bush got voted on his conservatism, but he tarnished us.

You mean lack of and I dont know one conservative who voted for Obuma. Some people just think their conservative. In fact no one could possibly call themselves a conservative and vote for him., bush got voted on his conservatism

Well...to be fair...stupid...(or to be nice uninformed ) voters are always the determinig factor..
However... in this election.... the biased media coverage...was totally pathetic...journalistic integrty (which was now become an oxymoron) is dead... they were so in the tank for Obama that its not even funny.... the fact that they gave Obama a complete pass on basically everything.... and refused to report on him as a candidate and instead praised him as a savior....
The fact that so many people....are that ignorant of the issues.... (and trust me this video was the rule NOT the exception... as Ive seen in personally not only in my home city but across the country....) is really very scared... Obama won not on the issues but on the "Cult of Personality"...
I hope you people are happy with what your brought onto this country... becuase... theres no turning back.... were stuck with him for 4 years (not to mention a liberal congress and soon to be liberal court system) so youve effictively thrown away any notion of checks and balances... bravo....![]()

Liberals are against nuclear war but have yet to propose a soy based substitute that can obliterate cities"
Exactly Rush. But this isnt Obama fault, its a side effect of the last century of American education. The American school system itself is in trouble and needs help, more funding and better payed instructors.
Just like McCain and Palins misinformed voters there are going to be the misinformed Obama voters, however, I dont think anyone called McCain a Klan member and a terrorist.
The media wasnt biased.

"When Kerry lost the first time it was our fault, when Obama won this time it was our fault."
He said its a changing of the times and neither the media nor the blogs caused it they only reflected it.
And he said it was a copout for everyone who blames the media for their candidates lost. This is coming from an anchor on Fox news btw.
Shep Smith youtube video.
He says the nation was changing, therefore Barack Obama did not lose, John McCain did. The election was Obamas to lose and not McCains to win.
