    Default Post your Empire

    I will start with mine.

Ducato di Apulia, Calarbria e Sicilia - Early Era

The year is 1113, and I have united Southern Italy, and created the Kingdom of Sicily. I also added the Kingdom of Ifriqiya to the Sicilian crown, and Boemundo has taken Antioch, Tripoli, Acre, and Jerusalm . Boemundo now rules the Kingdom of Jerusalem as a sub-faction, and his son rules as Prince of Antioch.

I managed to defeat the Jihads to recover Antioch, and the Pope was gracious enough to demand Conte Simone crusades to Dimashq. His Crusading army has just captured Tarabulus (Libya), and is now moving to the Oltremare. I think Simone will take Bangazi from the Byzantine, and try to use it as leverage to get the Fatimids to make peace.

Three crusader armies has been very good for the economy. I am bringing in 8,000 in profit every turn, due to the free upkeep.

My next move will be to take Corfu, and invade the Byzantine Empire.

As you can see, I am more of a role player than a blitzkreiger.

That's pretty impressive. I have a Magyar one right here...

My royal treasury is 40,000 florins but the trial patch is blocking it.

Here I basically RPed and blitzkreiged a bit. One of the stranger bits is that the Serbs are now located in Milan and Genoa and the Pope is on Crusade into the Holy Lands.

I actually helped them when the Kipchaks invaded Sarkel and they went hording. I gave them Kiev, Orchakov and let them fend for their own and they went on and captured two other settlements.

I noticed this myself, we really need a mid 700's campaign, when the Khazars are at their height.

had an early era campaign (at least h/h) at around 1170 with nearly 60 regions as byzantium, but then my computer crashed, sorry
The Duke of Dunwich and surrounding fiefdom

For any who are interested by my FF on occurrences in Rhun and beyond; I have begun a new project (not because the old one is finished, just opening more room for ideas) about one of the minor characters, Rankal. It is in the Third Age AAR index and here is the link http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=376994

I always help the AI out. Making sure my buffer states and allies can hold out etc...

    What happened to the Bulgars?

Nice empire, SV. I always roleplay as well--it's why games take me so long. Albath, are the Magyars fun to play as?

I had a game as Sicily going but I always play as them, so I decided to start a new campaign as a new faction. Any suggestions for a faction for the early era? I'm looking for a new experience!

Pretty much, Naturalist. They start out with one settlement and two full stacks right smack dab in Bulgaria. Armies continously spawn until you get some settlements and settle down.

Also, play as the Angevians in Early Era. I like the underdogs and fighting the rebelious Capet dynasty!

Hmm,I noticed Magyars always only attack bulgaria and destroy it on the begining, which didn't happen in 3.0

I play like SV, I help the AI out, and use buffer states/vassals to my advantage. I don't like unwelcome visitors or surprises, and yet they still happen.

I got my DA campaign to around turn 150 before I got pulled away. However, I saved over that campaign, so the only SS i have is from the late 80's.

It should be noted, as I am the premier power in the game at this time, at turn 120+ things took a turn for the worst. My Golden Age ended, I think I had 2 successive rulers, or 3 in a row before the hit the fan.

The next few were nuts and then constant invasions before I lost that game. I was LOSING!!!!! I coulnd't believe it.

So here's what I have, my golden years, Serbia is a huge Balkan power(thanks to me ) and Pax Romana 2 is in effect!

I'm workin on a new Early Sicilian Camp - and this one should be hella fun since i'm gonna invade the Romans!

High Era, Latin Empire. I've conquered all of the Byzantine land except for Mytilini which is now my vassal. Trying to extinguish the Seljuks and Bulgars.

I was looking at their roster today and it seems....weak. Yea they were crusaders, but they couldn't field any kind of decent army after 1204? It's Constantinople, they had to attract hella mercenaries to work for Imperium Romanium. I know they didnt last too long, however some kind of decent field army is missing.

My vote is they need a roster overahaul via SV!

Actually the latins should have everything that France has, except they are outside of their culture zone. This is why they have a more resticted roster in the Aegean, but I agree they could use some attention

1102 is when I invaded Antioch.

Edessa is under seige, but I can break it from my neighboring town. In order to fund my campaign after my crusade stack lost it's free upkeep, I sacked pretty much every settlement I took down there, but only if they were ready to riot(red icon).

Also, the pope lost rome, and I took Florence, so I took Rome. He asked for it back, for real, so I handed it off, since there wasn't any ancillary building there or anything special for being Rome. The actual pacification of southern Italy and Sicily took way longer than I had anticipated. The Genoese went after me for a bit, and the thing is, they attacked me, so the Pope asked me to not attack back 2 turns later. I swear, you fail that quest no matter what you do

just open the Shell thing, on my keyboard it's the tilde(~) button, and type in "toggle_fow", without the quotations.
