problems with descr_strat

ok , so i'm not exactly new to modding rome and have quite some experiance but something has me baffled. after recently screwing up my rome total war descr strat file i returned to the original and began to chek through wat whent wrong, i started by changing all facions (exept slaves) to "UNLOCKABLE) and saved, opened the game and cheque. ran the campaing as brutii all fine, then i tried to do the same as macs and it ctd, the same happens with all other factions, any ideas?:hmmm:

any help would be of great assistance
i have included the descr_strat file, if anyone can spot a prob please PM me or post it on this thred

What version of RTW do you have? If it's 1.3 or lower, you have to have a map and leader picture for each faction.

So you beat the game and then want to play as macedon? Is it only the factions that started as unplayable that don't work, or is it all the factions? Also, did you delete map.rwm?

why not try putting macedon as playable straight off? make sure there are no random spaces etc. in descr_strat as well... under 1.3 you dont need to have maps and leader pictures (i dont anyway...). umm... otherwise, try replacing descrt_strat with the original (assuming you backed it up) and just move everyone to playable (also, not sure about whether the senate works... heard reports that it just goes wrong most times. might want to leave that as unplayable too...)

This happen to me some time ago. I know whats wrong (70% maybe).
First you MUST Complete a short or long campigan before playing any other faction besides Scipii Julli etc. After beating the game on short or long make all nonplayable to unlockable or playable. YOU MUST BEAT THE GAME THO!!! IF i were u i would not jump the gun and put them to playable. Put them to unlockable then go and play a SHORT GAME as romans,beat it, then save it. Then see what happens.
