I know I'm supposed to do the Belgae, but I have to mention this:
When playing with Sparta, I noticed every hoplite unit switches to swords when charging. This is not fitting for a hoplite unit methinks?
Getting all of that fixed will be an ongoing process. LT1956 is working on unit stats, and I hope he'll be addressing some of those issues.

1. Didn't know there was one there. Cherry, please remove it.
2. The culture buildings list both bonuses and penalties for various cultures. The first one is the bonus for the culture the settlement is. Any others are penalties for cultures that are not like the regions own culture. Unfortunately, they all show, but they don't apply unless specific factions are listed in them in EDB.txt
3. I'll have a look at that small town.
4. LT will fix the hoplite issue. It's configured wrong, obviously.

Thats how custom battles works, the first unit becomes your leader unit.

Generally, when DMB reads right (which it does), and the texture is actually there, (which it is) it means that the model doesn't like the texture's name. Everybody says this ain't so, but I've seen it enough times to know it is. So I have changed the name of the texture to conform to what the model is looking for....I hope. It'll be fixed in Revision_8.
Also, there were some textures missing from that model for some reason...I must've had a bad hair day and goofed that one up somehow. Anyway. It's fixed.

I'm not really sure where I've got to put this, so here is the right place I guess.
I downloaded and installed revision 8 and on startup I got this error:
I have installed it correctly I think, so is it me/my computer or is it a bug?
Vale,

Just a few things I noticed while testing the Belgae campaign:
-The Stonehenge complex is labeled as 'Roman' (and there is a typo in the description: enclosur(e) )
-When declaring war on a neutral faction there is no notification (it asks: declare war on faction? as usual, but the little notification block doesn't drop down after I ordered the attack.)
-The parthenon is 'roman' apparently
YEAH, THAT'S MESSED UP. sOME OF THE SPRITES DIDN'T EXIST. fIXED FOR NOW.
Please post full size screens...that image is too small, and it leads to nothing. I can't read it.
Cherry will be working on the Terrain and hopefully fix that city.
I have fixed the city plumbing...couple cards missing.
Because the historic buildings have no culture, the game is defaulting to the first culture in the list, which is 'Roman'. Nothing I can do about it. The alternative would be have them say each culture...whichever one you were when you looked at it. So if you were a 'Barbarian' and took the city, it would say 'Barbarian'...which is just as dumb.
Nothing has changed as far as notifications about war or anything else.

sorry about the screen ive edited the last post with the full sized one
That would have nothing to do with Revision 8. The new animations were included in Revision7.
My inclination is that if you 'think' you installed it correctly, maybe you didn't.
Open 'descr_model_battle.txt' in your 'data' folder. It should say 'Roma Surrectum Release 2 Build 7.0 No_senate Revision_8'
at the top.
